G27 NOT fully supported

Have just done the Spec 2.0 update, and went straight into options to set up all the buttons on my G27. After spending a certain amount of time fine tuning all my button choices - IE, what do I need at my thumbs the most and what can do with being relegated to the shifter panel - I was happy with my decisions and took it straight out on to the track. Hardly any of my programmed buttons worked.

Two out of the six on the steering wheel worked. I think three out of the four top buttons worked on the shifter panel, and what DID work on the D-pad of shifter panel was not what I had programmed. Have put them back to default but haven't tried it yet as I'm disappointed and heading to my bed.

But, is there any of the rest of you with G27 wheels suffering from these same issues???

Yes it is bugged.

To assign the top left button on wheel you have to set the option of the far left red button on the shifter.

Same with the top right button on the wheel.

Hope that helps, till we get the patch. Can't believe they do not test such things :nervous:

Important thing is that it's getting fixed.
 
I tweeter directly to kaz last night about this...

And he responded!!!! Saying it's already fixed ready for the next patch.

Im drex81.. And yes I feel special.

edit: confirmed that the 2 top buttons on the steering wheel were swapped with the 2 outer buttons on the shifter :)

I was wondering why my button assignments weren't working! Any indication of when it will be patched? Please don't say soonish.
 
The buttons that did not work at least for me, were the top 2 buttons (left and right) of the wheel. But those that i set for example as a claxon or look back appear in the 'gearbox' buttons, in the red ones of the bottom and again the left and the right. That was a simple mistake or error and as someone said in the next update this will be fixed. But hey!! i have the handbrake on my wheel now!! YAY!!!! haha. (sorry if i made a mess with my English lol)
 
I have been contemplating purchasing a G27 for quite some time for GT5 and other racing/driving games. What I am wondering is, with this new update, and the promised fix for the buttons bug, would it definitely be worth it to buy a G27 at this point in time? What other driving/racing games are fun to use the G27 with?

Right now I have GT5, Driver San Francisco, and the Motorstorm games, does the wheel work with Driver and Motorstorm?
