I'm sorry to open a new thread but in the other seasonal thread there is mixed info about the current seasonal events.
I wonder why isn't an specific thread for each TT in GTP every new seasonal event.

Some people at PSN are asking me for my setup of this TT, I guess I'll finish sooner than later if I address them here.

Here's a pic of the setup I'm using, in short, get all car improvements available, even an oil change, your Evora torque should be 50.8 kgfm.

BTW, to get that fancy gear ratios first set your final gear to 4625, later your max speed to 230 km/h and when you have adjusted every gear set your final gear to 4830, I recommend you use your own gear box though.

Some people think car setups make wonders, I assure you that not, at least in Gran Turismo.

Looked at the leaderboards, says he is second in the world, with 1:06.824!!:bowdown:

Edit: Took a few laps to get used to the tune, but only did about 10 laps and took 2 tenths of my time,
currently 1:07.626.

In had the record for a few hours but now im down to 5th with a 1.06,975.
I lost more than a tenth to my best T1 so 1.06,8 should be possible for me at the moment.
It´s interesting to see that my setup has some significant differences to yours but the time is nearly equal.
How did you get your torque to 50,8 kgfm? Mine is slightly lower.
 
Mine is on 62,7% powerlimiter maybe i should do some more miles to gain a few KW.

Has anyone else tried this tune? I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've never driven a tune that made me feel like a worse driver. With my (close to stock) tune, I'm at 1:09.0xx, but I can't break 1:13 with this one. The last hairpin is virtually impossible for me to take without snap oversteer spinning me out, for example.

It just seems weird to me to set a car up this way, slammed to the ground with soft springs. It virtually guarantees hitting the bump stops in every corner.

Props to anyone that can drive like that, I certainly can't :)

Edit: I'm an idiot. In the settings sheet I used for this tune, I accidentally left the rear tires as SH instead of SM. Nothing to see here ;)

Is there a thread for the rally seasonal that's at this same track?

Also nice .030 off the leader lol. I would of just shot myself of I came that close

Rofl! No. You might be surprised how often I get asked that though.

One of these days I really need to order a Ph.d from some shady Internet diploma mill just so I can say yes. :)
 
awesome tune. I beat my best time by 4 tenths after one lap! Let's see how fast I can be with this.

It's made using a G25 steering wheel.

GT car settings are a bit rubbish, I remember some time ago Rudi Raser and me achieved almost the same time with opposite car settings.

I got 50.8 kgfm adding any upgrade available and changing the oil once, I didn't see how many km's or hp's had the car when I changed the oil so probably there's more kgfm to be gained.

Indeed, that's a proof GT car settings are rubbish, not only the car is slammed to the ground with soft springs, look at the dampers (extension/compression) I used, they're upside down.
Forget your concepts of real life car settings, the best way to set up a car in GT is the trial-error way.
If Polyphony Digital would fix some major bugs in GT like these car settings or even that the car physics online are different than offline instead of selling more tracks/cars/suits/helmets, they would gain more credibility and they would be less labelled of arcade for many people.

If it's one thing I've learnt is that even with the same tune, when I'm about a second off your pace i'm at my limit :dopey:

Just need to pull myself away from the rally TT first :lol:

More km's and a second oil change --> 51.7 kgfm
I don't know if doing the hamster around Daytona first and with only one oil change later would get the same results.
IMO, this oil stuff in the game is BS, not everybody runs with the same power and not everybody has enough time to do boring laps around a track to rise up the hp and torque.

From my splittimes i can say 1.06,6 is possible.

I´ve modified my first Setup a bit but you can see there are still big differences to Ramons.
It´s in german but i think it´s possible to understand that with Ramons picture.

The first tune is a bit loose for me had to tighten it up a bit.
dropped my time though and thank you. Currently 245, 9th fastest american.
Havent tried the second.

I can get a 28.6-29.1 in the first sector, so Im losing alot on the end of the course. 1:08.4

I managed a 1:13.50 on my 2nd lap! So hell I'm happy with that. May go back and try to get a better ranking though :)
 
I used a detuned Esprit Sport 350.
Really drifty but fun!
 
Thanks for the setups, I liked Zockers a bit more. It had less oversteer. I changed the gears a bit and last time I checked I was best of my country with a DS3, only one guy with a wheel with a better time :D
Even used automatic because I kept screwing up that corner before the tunnel in manual.
 
I still can't get under 1:10. I'm convinced I am losing it all in the RH before the tunnel. Any tips on this corner? I am faster with a late apex, but still not enough. Have my splits running good everywhere else.

I tried "E"z tune and since I run A/T I can't get it to hook up and I'm struggleing to break 1:10. Here is my setup for anyone who wants to try it. It really hooks up and tracks great but I don't know if it can ever go as fast as the alienz stuff but I'm sure they could beat me w/ a riding lawn mower :lol:

With the torque numbers I have seen and me only having 50 miles on the car I'm down 65 ft-lb's of torque so this looks like a job for Bob.

I've tuned you your setup powered 300 cv (not 295!) and I've a power lever 65,5% (not 62,8%). Why it is higher then your? Maybe I've NOT changed oil? Why you are under 300 cv?

My last update on this combo 1.06,564 / T1 27,760.
Got a little improvement in T1 by using the handbrake through the second corner.
T1 on this lap was the best i ever had.
Thats my limit.
I can see about 50/1000 on all 3 parts of the track together but getting them together would be pure luck.
