What aero kits would you most like to see?

What kinds of Aero Kits (from GT Auto) would you like to see?

Currently, there is a mix of OEM kits and aftermarket (generic/original and real). What kinds would you like to see more of? A “Need for Speed” approach of aftermarket bells and whistles or a focus on OEM options and variants (or second-party kits; e.g. Nismo, TRD, Shelby, etc.)?

This might apply more to GT6 than any updates or DLC, but I’d like to know the consensus around here.

I haven’t seen much on this topic from my experience, and even after quickly searching.

P.S. — My own opinion as I posted later:
To add my own opinion, I’d say I want OEM options and second-party kits. Why? GT feels like a game more focused on the natural car, and these suit that the best. Unless the customization goes in-depth, the third-party kits don’t “fit in” as well. I’d rather leave it to RM cars.

I would love to see full Vertex style kits...

other then that, more consistancy...its odd that on some cars you can't add a rear bar/skirt, it makes the cars look odd.

I can't see why there shouldn't be just as many options to the kits as NFS have managed, two basic generic level street or tuner kits and a fully aero modified racing kit.

I would love to be able to do this to my 240z in GT5 too, but how likely is that gonna happen?!

(I know, sacrilegious, posting a NFS photo in a GT5 forum!)

Body kits are ghey

I want some freaking front splitters. I need my downforce

Like these ones that APR makes. put these in gtauto for every vehicle

Seeming as there's been no full on approach to visual upgrades I genuinely think it wont happen. Maybe they will add more features for gt6. And to be fair it never done that much for the games which did have customisation e.g. NFS and midnight club as ones finished and the other will be finished very soon but that's really down to the gameplay, so GT could cater for everyones needs if they needed too.

I simply want kits that has a purpose on the track. Adjustable front splitter, perhaps something in the league of the rear wings on the Audi a4 rear genders etc.

Oh, and either fender flares or some kind of wide body kit so we could fit wider tires. Gt5 needs an option for that..

I would like body parts, like the ones in Auto Modelista, where it had aftermarket, OEM, second party, and even concept body parts, but as for aftermarket manufacturers...

Another possible option would be simply to model more tuning house cars. A little visit to Top Secret Tuning, Alpina, Veilside, Brabus, M's Factory and Jun just for starters. A "super-standard" (rather than full premium) version of each of their cars would be a great addition. There could even be follow ups to other famous firms, who's base model cars are already in the game, so PD wouldn't even need to model the majority of the cars from scratch.

I like this idea. I had it partially in mind. Perhaps a RM type of ordeal, except maybe they’ll be based on tuner cars. Without all the stickers and finishes, but their full kits and prepwork in base cars? In addition to tuners’ demo cars like we already have.

This is a good idea, and I forgot about top secret.

Brilliant !! 💡
To be honest, I had thought I did actually read (?) at a very early time in development, that "tuning" houses were to be implemented..:nervous:
I could be wrong though...
Maybe the few "tuner" cars we have now is all it was...
But the way I understood it, the tuning shops would all be like the currant shop, you take your car in, buy what you want, regardless of make and model....

Back to what we'd like tho....
Manufacturer specific body kits would be great, as well as some aftermarket styles too.
Larger arch flares on the 240ZG would get my nodd..;)
But I would also like to do a real recreation of an RWB Porsche/RUF....

Would like an option for purpose-built aero overhangs such as splitters and diffusers with adjustable struts to change the angle of attack (would be nice if it showed major changes but the simple detail of rendering would be fine).

I was thinking just after I posted about tuning houses just how simple this would be to implement, and how little work PD would have to do to implement it. (Sorry, I have been rather critical of their lack of apparent enthusiasm and care for this edition of the game for quite some time, as there's been far too much lazy programming released in this volume for my liking)
A few tweaks to the power delivery physics, minor body modifications and a newly skinned R32 GTR and we have the legendary Top Secret R33 which had 1285bhp back in the mid nineties and was road legal. (well, it was regularly driven on the public roads of Japan anyway)
Then there's the Top Secret Supra, which the original version from the same time, had an engine swapped GTR motor pushing around the same power. This one was road legal enough to make it to the UK, where Smokey Nagata drove it down one of our major highways at 200mph, before being caught by the cops and arrested for speeding at just 130mph. (If they'd pressed the button on the stackdash the Volvo T5 police drivers would've shat a breezeblock!)

With the abundance and open-ness of the Japanese tuning houses, and let's not forget their relative proximity to PD, I'm a little shocked that there's such a tiny presence within the game.

Body kits aren't my thing. I would like more RMs or aero parts that produce proper amounts of downforce. You can build a wonderful track-day style car on GT5. But home built race cars are never quite as good as should be. They're usually a bit heavy and with little to no downforce they just don't work. As far as what kind of kit goes just give me one that works.

Would like more Race modified cars, but I don't spend so much time on the looks of the cars - rarely even paint them!

However, I probably will start getting more into this to make more use of the photo mode

Aero kits focused on performance, not visuals.

There could realistically be as many aero options as there are all other tuning options combined. Low speed wings, high speed wings, various downforce levels and sizes. And of course online, hosts should be able to restrict wing area, chord, span, aspect ratio, etc, etc.

I'd like to see OEM and in house tuner parts at the least and some aftermarket suppliers. If it can't look like that in real life then it shouldn't be offered. The wings and winglets should still be an option for "rear" down force. Also a spoiler delete option.

I'd like to see all types of kits like OEM, functional aero bits to those horrible looking hover craft kits, it would be nice to see some variety and see other peoples tastes.

I use the aero options more as a "Race Modify" option since there are more than 17 cars on this game I'd like to see liveried and kitted for race series. Therefore I don't mind where they come from, but the more options the better to mix and match each car to different series that they run in.

Ummm, whah????
Maybe this one will be okay,

Lol no, Hovercraft kits isn't the technical name, I don't know who makes them, lot's of "drift" cars in my country have them, they look like flat slabs of fiberglass that extend almost to the ground, even on a car that's not lowered.

OEM kits, In house kits, and good and I do mean GOOD aftermarket companies.

No need for speed pep boys specials here.

You mean kits like BN-sports and Uras, i would love to have does in the game! like them on drift cars for my street cars i rather have more refined kits like vertex and super made.

At first when I got the game, I thought I can fit Veilside bodykit on my FD3S. No joke.

Then I remembered this wasn't need for speed.

EDIT: I mean FD3S, not FC3S. :dunce: lol

Maybe some Veilside or WingsWest kits would be nice so we can F&F up our rides, yo!

Or, so we can make our drift cars look like drift cars? The current selection for the s13 is a joke, ugly kit with no spoiler delete option? makes me cry during replays...

I went for OEM variants, Third-party aftermarket kits, and original kits.

OEM variants would just be factory fit lip kits and spoilers, or on some cars pre-facelift/facelift bumpers etc. Third party could be manufacturers such as Vertex, Garage Vary and Top Secret.

The original kits are pretty much what PD are modelling right now for the cars, some cars look pretty naff with them but certain cars actually look quite good with the Original kits, the Suzuki Cappuccino has two IIRC, one that looks like a track style kit, and one that looks like it'd be more suited to a street car.
