Having just played this for the first time, and having read a couple of recent threads on the subject I got curious.... what percentage of people on these forums were able to accomplish this and at what level?

Please note, for the poll I'm looking for your minimum achievement, so if you got two golds and a bronze, please vote bronze.

I also split this between wheel users and DS3 users.

But if you did it with Sixaxis then that means you did it with a DS3, right? :p

(btw, if you did that, big props!)

Bronze/Silver/Bronze with the DS3. I'm going to try it with the wheel sometime soon.

Only bronze with DS3, I couldn't be bothered to get any better at the time of getting bronze and never seen the point of getting gold unless you drive the X1 religiously or want the platinum trophy.

Bronze DS3 D-Pad, that was before I could change steering senativity, have to put some more hours into it soon.

Thanks.
It has taken me a full week of playing nothing but Vettel Challenge.:nervous:
Monza was easy (30 minutes), Nurburgring was brutal (5 days) and Suzuka was easy compared to Nurburgring (2 hours).

If any silver or gold D-pad users could give a few tips that would be nice, can't drive at all with the stick.

Where is the "Looked at it and thought it was stupid so I didn't bother choice."

or "Why would I bother when I could have fun online."

I got two golds with the DS3, and did Suzuka with a wheel. I'm going to try it with a DS3 anyway, so I can be 100% stick.

Silver at Nurb but could lap fast enough for Gold. Gold at Monza. Bronze at Suzuka for some reason. Bronze was lowest and I use DS3.

It was bronze across the board with DFP, then bought G27, tried again, and gold in all three within 2 days. Videos posted on here really helped me with brake points.

Bronze on monza with a ds3, not even bronze on the others, too difficult for me, or maybe I should try several hours, which I do not have the patience for

Early days but I bet some people are surprised at the current;

Gold (DS3) 8
Gold (Wheel) 6

I glitched the suzuka but recently I did it again without the glitch and golded it. Nurburgring and monza I did the hard way practice practice practice practice...

Edit: I used DS3

Only if you assume that the number of DS3 users is the same as the number of wheel users. Difficulty with one or the other is determined by the percentage of people who succeed within the same group:

Wheel: 10 of 26 people = 38.4% success rate.
DS3: 9 of 35 people = 25.7% success rate.

And before anyone says these are high, the people on this forum are more likely to be GT enthusiasts than a random unbiased sample of regular people.

Bronze with a DS3 and I was happy with that. After doing the X2010 time trial recently on Suzuka, I noticed I was on par with the gold time (1:04.xx), but putting together two complete laps like that would be nerve racking.

Maybe in the future I could go back to it.....:odd:

Nahh...:sly:

Now while the percentages of people who have succeeded in golding the Vettel challenge will be high here due to a biased sample (i.e. more ultramegahardcore GT fans), how the hardware impacts the success rate of the sample should be rather accurate within the separate groups.

DS3: 9 of 44 people got all gold = 20.4%
Wheel: 15 of 33 people got all gold = 45.4%

So while these two figures will be on the high end of the spectrum, meaning that average people will have less than a 20.4% chance of getting gold with a DS3, it is possible to compare the two figures based solely on hardware:

45.4 / 20.4 = 2.22 or

You are at least twice as likely to get gold on Vettel with a wheel than with a DS3,

or, in other words,

The Vettel Challenge is twice as hard for DS3 users than for wheel users.

So anyone know if it's possible to rent steering wheels?

Golded Monza, silver Nurb, and bronze Suzuka with DS3 pre patch to make the times easier. Don't know how long I've spent on suzuka trying for silver :-/

Glitched Suzuka, Bronze on both Nurburgring and Monza. Haven't tried to challenge any of the records since August.
