Original Concept: Parnelli Bone
Due to the popularity in this thread, I was moved to create a new thread that is more updated into current terms. Since the OP Parnelli did not update it for some time.
Directions
Simple. Just look at your GT Profile in your Home Screen. It should express it under "Total Distance Driven". This is the data I will use to produce our total distance. Maintained by:

Directions
Next, add it to the supplied spreadsheet. But before you do, remember the following rules:
Spreadsheet Use Rules (SUR)
- You will not modify other people's distance numbers.
- You must post your previous distance & the time & date if you are going to update your distance, in their respective spots. Also add a "1" under "No. Updated". This will tell me you have updated it. If you updated it more than once make sure you record under this row. This is necessary to make sure our Status is valid & accurate as possible. The time & date only applies for most recent updates!
- GTP Username is required; PSN does not, but you are welcome to.
- If you run out of space, just merge some cells. But make sure it does not interfere with anyone else's data, important elements, etc.
- DO NOT modify the title, warning, objective, notes, etc. in the spreadsheet. That is a must for organization!
- Make sure your numbers and name is clearly written. I will inspect the spreadsheet from time to time for incoherency and I will remove it if it's badly typed.
- You may remove your measurement if you wish. But be sure to PM me so I can remove it out of our total distance value.
- Please convert the measurement into Miles, to prevent inaccuracy.
- When you add your recent time and date, make sure you also add your time zone.
Pretty common sense, eh? Alright. After that I'll add it in our lovely The Heavens Counter!

Caring Policies
The GT5 Community is a very kind group, so it will be nice for some help 
If you would like you can do the following for me:- Watch the spreadsheet and add in ONLY the recent numbers. Pay close attention as well! Once you have the sum share it to me via PM or post + details like the people you added up. And when I say "recent", I mean in the last 24 hours. I'm trusting in you for the most reliable numbers, so don't rush!
- You may wish to help me on Research, via our location.
- You may wish to warn me when I have to update it. It's best to PM me.
- Please be very careful if you are helping me. The slightest mistakes will mess up The Heavens Counter! Keep yourself noted along the way!
If you're a frequent Maintainer, I will add you into the "Maintained By" list. However if you are inactive for let's say... 72 hours, I will label your name as "Inactive". But if you come back I'll remove the label.
Proposed Frequency
I will update The Heavens Counter & maintain the Spreadsheet every so often, but I'm aiming for every 24 hours or less. If there's a large load of updates please check with the Caring Policy for instructions.
Usually I would take all updates in the last 24 hours, so if yours comes in a second later I will only count it a day later plus others whilst that time.
If you wish to maintain it as well it is up to you of what your routine is.
