Brought the dlc pack one the other day. Now it's telling me I need to download it again to use the cars?? Any one else had this problem?

This is a help section for the site not GT5.
Post here

OK you do need to calm your attitude a bit though.

As with your issue, I don't know.

It seems some content is more automated than others.

I buy something in PS3 Store (and download it). I start the game and go to items (I think). Then I click on the item I want to install (new car pack). Then I can go test the new item in practice.

Some items have just "shown up" in the game that I had forgotten I downloaded. Perhaps they were the game/system updates with new content that became available with the download or the new free content that was enabled for anyone who logged in during a specified period.

I hope this helps you if you don't get an answer fast enough elsewhere.

You download it in the PSN store, then go into the game and on the opening screen go to the far right and click on the little red icon, labelled "downloadable content" and there should be a list of what you have bought, and you install it from there.
Also, this is about gt5, it's in the right place...

Yeh I did that. Its when I go to my garage it now tells me I need to down load it. So I went back to that icon and it says I've downloaded it. Ah I thort this was a gt5 forum

It is mate, its just some people on here are up themselves. They tend to pick on new people to the site as they obviously must be really important having over a 1000 posts.

Well it is A GT5 forum, just not Polyphony's Official GT5 forum. We are probably just trying to figure out the answers ourselves :D

Mind telling what DLC Pack(s) you downloaded and what DLC car you're trying to buy from the Dealership when you get this error ?

Your PSN country and Disc region info would be nice too, easier for us laymen here to help you out when we got info. 💡

Was the first one from October. So I'm not buying any car. I just can't use the cars that were in that pack. It say I need to down load them. Yet on the main page of the game were the dlc icon is it says it's downloaded. I'm from uk

I take it you mean you bought the Complete/Car Pack 1 from October, and when you try to buy change into one those first 15 DLC cars from the game Dealership in the garage you get the error.

And I presume you did not get the Car Packs contents messed up, say assuming the Nissan Black GTR was in Car Pack 1 etc, when it was in Car Pack 2.

Reading through the forums, did not came across this error yet. I'll leave it open to other members for possible solutions. As I personally have not bought the DLC. :indiff:

Yeah mine did that too it's says I haven't installed it but I used it the other day? At least I can still by the cars from the dealership.

Go to the PS store and search "Gran Turismo 5." Then look for 2 packs. One is called the "Race Car Family Upgrade' and the other is "Track Pack Family Upgrade". They are both free. Download and install both packs and it will hopefully fix your problem.

My track pack went missing and when I did the above, they were back and working like normal.

I'll try that later, thanks.
