VW 1200 '66 - Wrong specs?

I was doing some check online about this beautiful car, but honestly, engine and weight are wrong for the given model. In game the car weights 1160kg, when in real life it's around 700, according to all the sources I read. Is it an insane difference or am I completely in error?

Imho the error isn't in text specs, as PP are coherent with given power/weight.
And that difference can't be corrected with a level 3 weight reduction (don't tried yet)

Any VW expert here? I'd like to listen more specific.
 
Maybe it's just a typo? At work right now, so can't test, but when I get home i'll test the acceleration in stock form. An online source said the 1200 model should do 0-100 km/h in 37 seconds, if the weight is 1/3 more surely, it would be considerably slower (45 second range?)?

As explained in other threads, they wrongly used the car's gross weight (maximum allowed weight with passengers and cargo) instead of the curb weight (standard weight in operating conditions without passengers, cargo, and a full fuel tank). Cars like the Volvo 240GLT are affected by similar errors in GT5.
 
In the other thread XXI posted about 950kg with weight reduction level 3, and that's too much. Hope it get fixed, but the fat Volvo 240 is still there too.
