Fyi if you buy an aventador you are stuck with it

I bought 30 to 40 aventadors for chips . Went to sell most of them to make room in my garage, can't sell them, can't give them away. I'm stuck with those and several astons I bought for chips. I know how to dupe,but money has not been an issue for some time now. Quicker and easier just to buy then sell the car. Had over 130 Lexus lfas at one point. Just thought id put this out there.
 
I think they will patch this. Like not even able to get rid of the car is so stupid. Who forces someone to have a car.
 
I just wish I could allow people to borrow my DLC cars, like when I run team mate racing series if I want to run a Challenger TC my team mate cant.
 
Well, consider that a lesson learnt. It would have been far easier to just dupe the paint chips. I never bother having more than 5 of one chip (unless I inherit them from buying a car, having x number of cars, etc, etc). You can only gift 5 chips per day, so I load my secondary account up with 5 of each chip I want to keep and then gift to my primary account when I'm running low. No garage full of cars I can't do anything with and all the chips I want, simples...

This collecting digital paints by buying 100 of the same cars, doesn't sound healthy. Some form of OCD id say. It's beyond my understanding. I suppose these painter folk just sit around painting their cars different colors and take pics or something. That's some boring gran turismo.

Whatever floats their boat, I guess.

Yes, it is, because I didn`t know if the op was aware that the delete feature existed, so was just letting them know about it. 💡

But to then have a premium member with a high post count pipe up with a stupid, childish comment that serves no point other than spamming the thread & adding to said post count, was completely uncalled for.

It`s not just this incident, over the last few weeks, I have commented on various threads & my posts either get totally ignored, accused of being aggressive, when people have no problems with others who post in the same manner or have these childish remarks aimed at them, so I am just a bit fed up with it, as it seems that whatever I do here is wrong. :grumpy:
 
I replied earlier and said that you cant delete them because I tried to delete my leaf and I couldnt, and people who make sarcastic comments are just trying to have a bit of fun. you just need to calm down a little bit
 
Pipe down, it was not meant to be offensive, from the OP it is pretty clear that he would have tried the 'delete car' feature as have many before with DLC cars and it can't be done.

My post did serve a purpose, if anyone has the same issue they will know for sure that you can't delete the cars. :)

If you find your posts are being ignored, and you are accused of being aggressive then maybe you are being aggressive or posting comments that people find worthy of ignorance.

Take the comment as it was meant, a bit of sarcasm nothing more.

If you have a previous save game data on usb (before you buyed those manny dlc cars to get the paints) then you just copy it... and the cars will dissapear.
I had the same problem, buyed DLC cars to get the paints and stuck then - couldnt sell,delete or anything. But lucky me i had a save game data save 1 day before i buyed so manny dlc cars. and i just copied the data and the cars were gone.
 
Someone posted this a few weeks ago when the second dlc came out. We should be able to sell/delete our cars. but hopefully PD will intrduce a patch for it.
 
This is nothing new. It has been like this ever since GT5 came out. I bought the CE edition and I cant delete the DLC cars. I doubt it would change. Besides we could list about 10 threads about this subject alone. Please use search function on gtplanet next time.

If I buy the DLC, do I have to purchase the Aventador separately using the in-game credits?

Easier maybe, but that isn't an 'official' gameplay mechanic is it? PD designed the game in that you have to buy a car to get a paint chip so they should expect people might want to delete the car afterwards.

But still, this wouldn't be a problem if they didn't have the stupid chip system in the first place.
 
When u purchase the DLC after you install it in game, it is automatically added to your garage in the colors shown. I have dupes of the same cars, but I am not complaining, besides I gotta get the trophy for having so many cars in the garage.

And that there is the crux of the situation. I'm quite happy having to earn and unlock things, but I really do think that once you've earned a particular colour, it should simply be added to a paint palette that you can access from that point onwards. Naturally I'd expect to have to pay a token amount of Cr to have car sprayed. In the meantime, I'll stick with my two accounts and my trusty USB stick...
