"Re"

I sold my copy. I just wondering if I should buy GT5 again.

I think you should try wonder that alone in your own litlle head 👍
Im off now cos this thread is useles.
Thanks :)

Two questions:

Did you play online much before?
Did you complete the entire offiline part of the game before selling it?

If the answer to question one is no and question two is yes than it's probably not worth it, offline hasn't been updated with any new content at all and if you don't play online there really isn't anything left to do.

I played online with some friends from my school and I played offline every once in a while.

How long ago did you sell it? If you didn't play the seasonal events much, that's where all the 'offline' action is now, although you have to be network enabled in order to access them, you're racing AI rather than other players, so it's not really online gaming. They are very good for credits and xp, which might mean you get to drive cars that may not have been available before.

You can't make that decision on your own?

Obviously you not a fan of Gran Turismo so I'll say no, don't buy another copy of it.

Why did you even sell it in the first place, Buying it again is just a waste of money in all honesty, If my disk broke I wouldn't replace it.

This.

It boggles my mind how some people need to get approval from others for everything they do. It's your money, it was your time spent earning it, and it's your entertainment that's going to be provided by it.

To top it all off, you already have personal experience with the game, shouldn't that count for more than the opinion of some random people online?

Assumptions are usually wrong. I am a big fan of GT I just sold it because I thought PD wasn't doing anything to the game.

I don't mean to be condescending but why are you asking complete strangers on whether or not you should buy something.

If you want it, buy it, but don't do it because I gave you my approval.

If you want to play GT5 more frequently, just delete you game save and re-start your career.I did this accidentally, but was fun to recover my game save.It stills in progress, but I think now my collection will be bigger :)

Thats like saying why do people listen to game reviews.

People listen to game reviews in lieu of any personal experience with the game in question. You have personal experience with the game, shouldn't that count for more than anybody else's opinion?

I think what he is wanting to know is if there are any improvements that came with Spec 2.0 or in other updates that would justify him buying the game again.

The answer is no; little has been changed beyond bugfixes. There are DLC cars and a couple of tracks like Spa Franchorchamps that can give the game more variety but that is about it.

Its things like this that make this part of the forum uninviting.

"He's looking for someone to make a decision for him."

"Obviously you not a fan of Gran Turismo so I'll say no, don't buy another copy of it."

Instead of posting things like this actually make a contribution to the thread.

I'm out of here.

What were the main reasons you sold it in the first place?

What things about the game didn't you enjoy?

When did you sell it?

Does any if the DLC interest you?

These are things that can help us answer your question. A lot of updates have taken place, adding a lot to the game. Depending on when you sold it it may look like a completely different game or a lot of the same. Without knowing too much about your interest in the game I say yes, buy GT5XL. It's a good investment.

Edit: There is no need to be as rude as some of you are. I don't think he is really asking you to make the decision for him but wants to know from people who play every day if the game has improved enough to warrant a rebuy.

I have to agree with you! I've only been in the GT5 section and it's the most uninviting and fanboy filled forum that I have visited. It's like their in the own little world and nobody else with ideas or questions are welcome. It's a shame really as there are helpful members here but the others make the entire forum look bad.

If you like the game you should get it. Get the XL version like NickTune suggested because it includes a voucher for $20 worth of DLC.

I would certainly recommend it (despite it's flaws) as the very best video game that has ever been made, in my personal opinion.

Yes. If you are, try getting the XL edition, like others have said.

Ok. Well. I re bought GT5. I didn't have a HD TV when I sold at the moment so I didn't get to notice how beautiful it is at night.. Now I need a wheel.

Liar. LOL.

Hey, ''if you ask stupid questions, you get stupid answers'' is what I was always told.

The way you phrased your OP question was not very good so people get annoyed with that. You should have given more info upfront, instead of ginving no info and forcing people to drag it out of you. Common sense type stuff.

You should have been more specific in your OP, and asked exeactly what you wanted to know about GT5, and the progression of GT5 since you sold it, not juyst "should I buy it?" or whatever.

Actually I sold mine too because I played it everyday since launch and only sold it for Battlefield 3. I just repurchased the GT5 XL edition because I missed drifting and the online community aspect. I think it was worth the repurchase. Ultimately it's up to you if GT5 is worth repurchasing.
