Racing rules and treatment of race incidents:

We apply the general OLR-rules that you can find here.
To put it simply: behave in the races as if you were in a real world car race.
Car contact incidents are part of racing and will always happen. Nobody is perfect.
Everybody makes involuntary driving errors. The important thing is to stay fair.

Here is the procedure to follow in case of an important incident:

- In case of an incident, always first look at the replay
- If after seeing the replay, you still think another driver has disadvantaged you, first contact him by PM.
- If that does not permit to resolve the incident, send a PM to the race steward (host).
- Steward will review the replay and if necessary take a race-decision.
- Never accuse another driver publicly, it is forbidden by WSCC and GTP-policy and can lead to definitive exclusion.

REMEMBER TO CLEAR THE ONLINE CACHE EACH TIME YOU PLAY THE GAME

In order to have GT5 working flawlessly on-line besides clear your cache from the in-game options/network menu it's better to open,
for the PS3 IP, the following ports on your firewall (from GT5 manual inside the game):

TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 5223
UDP 3478
UDP 3479
UDP 3658
UDP 5658

and also, if it's possible in your router, to put the PS3 IP in the DMZ function.
This two operations will make possible to have less lag and room connection problems.

This is an interesting web site to help you operate your router to open the correct ports:

In april, I'll be there only 2 of the 4 race dates, but if the grid is incomplete, i'll jump in these days.

Very cool. The ZR1 races we had last year (or at least the one or two I could attend) were fantastic. I'm definitely signing up for this - #55 - will let you know what colour soon.

Nog iene van Aantwaarpen! (Translated: another one from Antwerp)

P.S. I'm form Antwerp too.

Thanks everyone, for the warm welcome, correct another one from the north of Antwerp. But in reality 'Francorchamps' is where i live ;)

Well Badger... something like last year GOLD?

He he, perhaps... I did really like that gold chrome livery. Maybe one of the only cars that looks good in gold chrome. Though I do remember Turbogeit driving a gold Ferarri 512BB at one point - classic!

Be careful guys that this year the car is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) RM 2006 not the 2009

Is the 2009 the one we raced last year? Enjoyed that series.

Whatever, sign me up

For the purpose of practicing, what weather settings are you thinking of using, gprili? (Weather, weather changeability, surface water, etc.)

After my stunning success in the 1st ferrari race (well, I wasn't last!) How could I refuse?

No.57
Colours are vintage red with yellow wheels

After some testing I'd say:

Weather at Race Start: 25%
Weather Changeability: 5
Surface Water at Race Start: 0%

you're in jackargent :)

How long will the races be?
akmuq/GTP_akmuq/blue/#15

welcome akmuq 👍 nice to see you here

Races last about 45-50 minutes

indeed, but with rain possibility maybe also 50-60 minutes :nervous:

I think the issue of having 12 or more drivers has been resolved, if thats why only 12 are being allowed.. just saying!

Really? They solved it? Well for now just stick to 12... let's see how many signup we will have :)

We had our WRS-OE race, which takes place every wednesday.
Here's the report of it in the Game-Breaking Online Flaw thread.
14 people signed up and we just tried and tested at once in the same private lounge with mics enabled.
There were three sprints and the first one was with 14.
No lag or grip reduction reports were made.

You should try and get more than 12 in a race and test it to be sure of course.
One race may have been a coincidence.

We can try, but I think that in that case, it would be better to put voice-chat of.

In any case, a usb-keyboard (available for less than 20 euro, or take that of your computer if you have a desktop) permits fast and efficient communication.
