News: Division 2 for European times is running now. Europeans who want to join Division 1, if spots are open, can. It is a matter of preference
Due to confusion, specs are listed on this post as well as in the PDF attachment.
OUR SITE
Welcome to the the DIGC, where the best GT cars go head to head in a 10 race battle around the globe in 2 divisions. Join today and fight for the drivers championship and a prize of three chrome paints of your choice! Only clean drivers are allowed, so be wary, careful, but quick on the racetrack! We race on Saturdays at 8:00 PM US EST time for Division 1 (Americas), and Saturdays at 12:00 PM US EST time for Division 2 (Europe, Africa, Middle East, & Asia). That equates to around 6 to 7 PM in Europe and around 9 to 10 in Asia, and somewhere in the middle (lol) for the Middle East.
Registration
Simply enter your details in this registration form and I will get your answers via email. They will go up on our website and thread promptly.

The team names go as follows... (you are automatically put into these teams if you pick the car & you must follow the liveries: explained later)
AR Competizione (Red/Black)
Aston Martin Racing (Green/Silver)
Belgian Audi Club Team WRT (Black/Red)
BMW Motorsport Team Schnitzer (White/Blue)
Corvette Racing (Yellow/Black)
Viper Team ORECA (Red w/ White Stripes/Black w/ White Stripes)

The two colors in parenthesis are the colors you must have as the main color of your cars. If you are the only one on the team, you can be either of the two colors. If you are the second of two drivers, the first driver must stick to his original color so you must be the second color.
Other Car Specifications
Everything from chassis reinforcements to torque sensing differentials can be bought for your car. Every possible modification can be added to boost your power, but it will be wasted mostly because you must not break the designated horsepower for your car. I will P.M. you and your teammate if your car has been given a performance boost/decline, but you must P.M. me about a disadvantage you are feeling for me to surely respond.
Any driver may be held responsible for violation of these specifications by any race steward.

Race Tech Inspection
This is how tech inspection will work before qualifying. I will ask all cars to leave the track. I'll reset the track. Finally, I shall ask one kind of car to come onto the track, after I've set the specs temporarily to the correct specs for the car I announce. For example, I will set ___ horsepower, ___ weight, etc. and text chat "Alfa Romeo(s), please join the track." If your cars don't pass tech, you will be asked to start from the back of the pack. For a final inspection, I will replay the whole race and see if you cheated with tires and put on faster ones. The only ones I believe that couldn't gain an advantage are the Jaguars, but otherwise, all cars have at least a medium or hard on the back or the front.
Race Substitution
If someone (including myself) cannot make the race, you must P.M. me (for myself, I will announce it publicly on the forum). Don't expect to be heard if you post that you won't make the race on the forum in the midst of hundreds of other comments. P.M. me or else you will be penalized if you don't make the race. You can P.M. me just before the race if you are having connection issues.
Drivers who are out of the top 15 in entries cannot race immediately. They have two choices. 1: they can be part of the Division 2 entry list. 2: they can be a backup driver for any team. Depending on when you registered, you will secondary, tertiary, etc. backup driver, depending on how many regulars are missing.
Racing Code of Conduct
Depending on the severity of the breach committed, you will be penalized independently.
Breaches of the official Racing Code of Conduct are...
- Cutting a run-off area of the track
- Cutting a corner or chicane entirely
- Swinging ridiculously wide in a run-off area repeatedly to gain speed, not for crashing purposes
- Abusing track limits
- Using other drivers as brakes
- Purposely or recklessly ramming drivers from the side or behind
- Brake-checking someone (purposely slowing down earlier than braking zone)
- Holding up an opponent for the sake of a teammate
- Stopping on the race track (you must pull off to the designated retirement zone for each race to not get penalized)
- Vulgarity, drug-references, or anything that wouldn't fit a "family show" in the text chat (this includes threats or very bitter complaints)
- Going backwards on the track for fun
- Crossing the white line coming out of the pits
- Swerving on the pace lap
- Accelerating from designated pace lap speed well before the white line (you can go after someone in front of you has accelerated, though)
I don't think the Code of Conduct should include passing or anything like that. That will be sorted out on its own. If you think someone forced an unfair pass, complain to me by P.M. ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be penalized by 2 race suspension if you break this rule. End of story.
IF I'M NOT AVAILABLE...
...someone will have to host the race for me. A backup driver can replace me. You need to do a good job while I'm away!
Race Information for Division 1 & 2
Practice starts at 8:00 PM US EST time. It lasts 1 hour. Qualifying starts at 9:00 PM US EST time. It lasts for 30 minutes. At 9:30, qualifying stops and in about five minutes after that, we will be finished registration and beginning to go around the circuit for our pace lap. Our pace lap will be regulated at 60 MPH by our pace car. As said in the Code of Racing Conduct, once the leaders accelerate, everyone else is allowed to. The leaders can only accelerate once they cross the start finish line. Le Mans (Rd.1) and Spa (Rd.10) are endurance races; they last about 2 hours. The rest of the races last 1 hour. You must make one stop every 1 hour race and two stops every 2 hour race. This should be required to do by physics alone!
All driving assists are off except for driving line, traction control, ABS, and manual transmission. This is just to make racing cleaner and a little less stressful. However, if you are one of those hard-a$$ people who say ABS is for girls, than go for it, and don't use ABS! But that doesn't make you immune to ramming penalties. If you lock up your brakes because of no ABS, that is your fault, and you will be penalized, even if you forgot to turn ABS on.
Sticking to the realism of this event, I cannot control the weather! Check the forecasts for the towns tracks are near or live feed cameras and such, and see if you need to make it a wet race, an intermediate one, or a bone-dry race. It is the actual weather in real life which makes it rain in Gran Turismo, at least in DIGT!
Some other things... no microphones during the race and mechanical damage LIGHT.
Here's the full information.
Boost: Off
Penalty: None
Race Finish Delay: 180 sec
Visible Damage: On
Mechanical Damage: Light
Slipstream Strength: Strong
Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption: On
Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge: Real
NO Skid Recovery Force
NO Active Steering
NO ASM
Driving Line Allowed
ABS Allowed
TCS Allowed
All of this goes for Division 2 except the times.

At 1:30, qualifying stops and in about five minutes after that, we will be finished registration and beginning to go around the circuit for our pace lap.
