Opponent bug with new update??

Has anyone noticed opponents now give way, button off and let you pass when you are slightly behind them or close beside them?? they just slam on breaks and let you pass now.. never used to. very annoying. is this a bug from the new online update??:đź‘Ž
 
That's going to be a shock!

I'm used to them pulling off line to punt me into the scenery or slamming on the brakes at the narrowest point on the Nordscheife or running into me halfway around a corner when I've just past them and many other ungentlemanly moves only seen in banger racing.
 
Im used to racing close behind staying in slip stream and passing when i can, now if i get within 1 metre of them they just break and slam crash :( it's defiantly a put off
 
Not exactly new, or a bug. It's a "feature" and it was added intentionally in a patch, a bit more than a year ago now. Apparently the game was too hard, so they took the racing out of it. The only way to avoid it is to play Arcade mode with AI Agression set to 10 in the options menu.
