Self explanatory: What should PD use as new seasonals?

I'm thinking an LMP series with Daytona Road/Le Mans/Nurb 24H/SSR5/Course Maker

Or a rally series with Eiger G/Chamonix West/Toscana (Dirt)/Liege/Alaska

My idea for a seasonal event is a one-make series for RM (race modifiable) cars. For example-instead of the regular three (400pp,500pp,650pp); maybe it could be 400pp Civic RM, 500pp Lexus RM, and 650pp Corvette RM. For some reason I like the idea of racing a premium car I have race modified myself, with my race number on the car.

Rally would be nice (especially in the segmented format of the special events rally). Perhaps with a decade range limit, too.

Something with hybrids/alternative power only, with a PP level that makes it so the Tesla Roadster won't blow everyone away.

Something with only a certain type of engine layout allowed, such as a straight-6 or V8.

Some make vs make races would be interesting, like Ford versus Chevy or Lotus versus TVR.

Go-Kart seasonal, with maybe, Autumn Ring or Autumn Ring mini, Tsukuba, London and Rome 💡

Like the idea aswell of seasonals just for the RM cars.:)

More use of weather conditions and time of day/night.

Much lower PP races to challenge driving technique instead of tuning, ie- 100-300PP

I want something like the Honda Civic seasonal event we had several months ago. It was a nice change from the usual events we already knew from A-Spec. I don't see why they don't do more tributes like these. The Ferrari Formula event is similar but we already had that one before. Give us something fresh, new and different.

I agree with the posts about time change and weather change - a Seasonal where I know a certain race is always held at night, another that is always wet, another that is wet at night, etc... would be really awesome. Obviously this should include the great tracks like La Sarthe, Nurburgring 24h (or Nordschleife), Spa, Suzuka... And also, please give us more Race Car seasonals (Group C / LMP, DTM, NASCAR, etc). I want to be able to race a 787B or R92CP without having to deal with a bunch of GT-class sitting ducks.

Race cars on real world tracks
night races(no driving line allowed)
575 PP with normal cars on creator tracks/time change (no driving line allowed)
FGT on F1 tracks in the game (8-10 laps)

I don't get the 'no driving line allowed'.

Just turn it off if you don't want it.

I guess PD will never put that kind of restriction on any race.

What they should do about the driving line is something like Forza... if you turn it off, you get x% more XP & cash.

But if you want to challenge yourself but not allowing any driving line, turn it off.

I agree with the original post that rally would be good. Maybe a couple of races on the rally circuits and a couple of races made up of 5 or 6 stages. Certainly more variable conditions and day/night. Would be good if each race was rally cars from a different decade. A touring car championship on real world circuits would be awesome too.

PD, I was just looking through our current seasonals and noticed, the SuperGT round is now over a year old! I LOVE SuperGT (JGTC) but can we please get some new tracks to race on? Pretty please?

A-Spec: Suzuka - Fuji - Tokyo
6/30/2011 Seasonal: Indy - Nurb GP - Laguna - Cape Ring - Eifel

New Seasonal (any 5 would be nice): Daytona - Spa - Monza - La Sarthe - Nordschleife - Autumn Ring - Rome - SS5 - London - Cote d'Azur - Madrid

A 600 FR/MR seasonal/sports soft tires on Twin Ring Motegi (any variation). A 550PP FR/MR/sports hard tires time trial on Twin Ring Motegi Road course. 👍

EDIT: I would love to see Motegi Speedway! The seasonal events, especially time trials, force me to learn the tracks down to every little detail. They also force me to learn more about how tuning effects that specific car on that specific track. I do enjoy the details.

EDIT2:RALLY events (snow & dirt) No expiration date. How could I forget?!

A NASCAR Seasonal would be great. Suzuka, HSR, Motegi Speedway. I would crap myself if we got that or a NASCAR TT. We had one before (finished 27th) but the track choice was less than desired)

GT300 Cars. Japanese tracks only.
Rally Time Trials that don't expire.

Also...Endurance races with tire wear would be awesome.

A no limits 5 lapper on Daytona - 1st place is 20,000,000 credits. Call it the "Easy Money" seasonal.

That's going to make it too easy for people to earn money. We have the Online A-Spec challenges and the Ferrari Formula Challenge if you want to make a quick million or two. Going from broke to 20,000,000 in 3 minutes is like deliberately employing GameShark or Action Replay to "enhance" your experience.

That aside, here's my idea for an Expert Level B-Spec Challenge giving use for some DLC:

Vehicle: Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 '11
Tuning: Prohibited (The vehicle must be stock), tuning is limited to 583 PP.
Tires: Sports/Hard

Rewards can be earned only once.

Track #1: Suzuka Circuit / Weather Change, 15 laps
Weather: 100% with 0 changeability
Surface Water: 10%
Reward: Cr.1,250,000 / 1,100,000 XP

Track #2: Nürburgring 24h / Change Weather / Change Time, 4 laps
Time: 15:00
Progressiveness: 36
Weather: 0% with 8 changeability
Surface Water: 0%
Reward: Cr.1,500,000 / 1,300,000 XP

The event would last 4 weeks.

Grid starts, especially so if there is qualifying laps like the GTs of old.

And honestly? more of a challenge, even when using cars with PP well below the limit (yielding like 3 times the money for me now, it's insane) I don't really have any difficulty unless I make a mistake that I deserve to lose as a result of o.o

And a new Super GT event and LMS events, I hate having no use for them =/
