THE BUSINESS
This league is going to be centered around the 24hr. nurburgring. All skill levels are welcome, and encouraged to try it out. There will be preliminary races like the VLN series. We would eventually work our way up to the full 24 hours. Races will range from 2-4-8-12 and then the 24 hours. Depending on how much interest this series picks up, we would like to run most if not all the classes that participate in the nurburgring endurance races. Even though this is just a game, most of the cars that actually run the real races are in GT5. I would like to have as many real to life replications as possible. Each race will start off with a parade lap, I will lead the pack and drop back to my possition upon reaching the grandstands. The racer In pole position will continue to racing speed as soon as he crosses the start/finish line.During the beginning of the parade everyone will get into their qualifyed positions, and we will run double file through the whole lap. The parade lap will be slow to sustain tire wear, keep it as clean as possible.

THE CARS
I am entirely open to people suggesting a true to life max hp. torque, weight, and so on and so forth; for each possible class. Also with sticking to the real thing as much as possible i would like to run make shift classes. ranging from the SP10 to SP4T. There is also a possibility of creating adding to classes such as muscles, classics, or something within the range of at least one class in the future.

Classes as follows:
SP10 (SRO-GT4):
BMW Z4/ 375bhp/1200Kg
vette C6/ 390bhp/ 1400Kg
350Z/385bhp/1300Kg
Ford Mustang/420bhp/ 1380Kg
M3/420bhp/ 1430Kg

Sp9;
audi R8 LMS/ 554BHP/ 1300Kg
Ford GT LM Spec II race car/ 512BHP/1280Kg
BMW M3 GTR/ 532 BHP/1230Kg
R35TC/ 542 BHP/ 1260Kg
viper GT-S/542 BHP/1280Kg

Sp8;
Lexus LFA/ 420 BHP/1300Kg
Lexus ISF RM/420 BHP/1300Kg
Lotus Evora/435BHP/1320Kg
Ferrari F430/460 BHP/1320Kg
Aston Martin DB9/440 BHP/1380Kg

Sp8T:
audi RS4/
Nissan GT-R 07'/440bhp/ 1411Kg
GT-R N24 schulze Motorsport/440bhp/1505Kg
VW Golf VI R/
Nissan 370Z/502bhp/ 1300Kg

Sp5,6 and or V5,6;
BMW M3/ 410bhp/1342Kg
Z4/410bhp/1300Kg
Z4 M/400bhp/1300Kg

Sp4T;
Audi S3/375bhp/1250Kg
subaru wrx/415bhp/1280Kg
golf V GTI/358bhp/1175Kg
ford focus ST/423bhp/1250Kg

Since there is only 16 spots, there will be five drivers a class. 15 drivers and a saftey car. we may have to open two lobbies to accommodate an entirely full field.

TEAMS
For teams we would suggest you get with a couple of buddies you can race with in person.

Teams can consist anywhere from 3-6 people. If you are very interested in doing this series but lack the proper amount of friends with a similar passion, we can arrange some people with collected teams(said person must have a duplicate car of their own, "matched specs.") Each driver of one team is required to submit I.D.'s for PSN, GTP, Skype, and the specs. of the team car(as to assure which class it will be in.) Each group is also liable to notify who will be the team leader(participating or not.), and a back up leader for the teams with participating leaders. Optionally you may want to give each drivers e-mail address, real names for the digital plaque at the end of the 24 hr. It would also be nice if you could notify if the whole team will be using either the steering wheel or the controller, if and or which individuals will be using which.

THE RACING
Races will be every saturday, around 8:00 P.M. west coast time.
I would like the run 2 hour races weekly for practice. and or 4-8 hour races every two to three weeks. And a 12 hour race once in a while. We were thinking the full 24 hour race would either occur when the real 24 hr. was going down, or before;after. For any of the races if there are connection issues for whatever reason we would halt race mode and continue to run behind a pace car in free run. If the disconnected could notify us that they could make it back within 5 min. then there would be no penalty. otherwise it would be a DNF. When it is convenient for the whole team to get together you can contact me and arrange a qualifying session. In the shorter races the damage will be set on light, but in the longer races it will be set to full. Penalties will be off to ensure if you cut track you don't interfere with other people, but were watching you. I would like to make the contact theory fairly realistic. So if you wail someone off their line while trying to pass them, we request you have good etiquette to slow dow and let them have their position back. It is pretty easy to be courteous and agressive.

Qualifying
Contact me on PSN and tell me when you'd be available to qualify. To qualify usually as a lone driver, you will run the 24hr. circuit for one lap. With multiple divers, driver in first will start on green flag, 2nd will follow after 10 sec. so on and so forth.

Last minuet:
All drivers from each class will be on Nürburgring GP/F. The first driver will take off as soon as race starts. The driver
in second will wait approximately 5 seconds and then follow suit, so on to 5th. The race will be
set for 3 laps, first lap is to get tires warmed up second lap is what counts. on your third lap take it slow and wait for everyone to get their time, and then everyone will finish.

the schedule thus far is pretty open, but I would like to do a 4 hr. race every friday or saturday night at 10:00 p.m. west coast time.

How about we mix this up? as this is virtually the same as the Wurks.ca group, and I am 95% running their 24hr race in Feb,

how about over 12 weeks we run 2 hour event's, as more then 2 hours in one hit could be hard to find in schedules, then the final results come up at the end of the event, you right them down to the nearest second, then with the next 2 hour event we leave the start line at the last races time differences, like WRC sort of thing,

we could very well do that. I'm just waiting on people to get interested and post up when they could make time for those long races, and when they would wanna do the 1-4 hr.races each week.

and for cars and BHP, if you limit the BHP to between 404BHP-454BHP and weight to 1150KG, and allow any car with the Gran Turismo Logo or any STC excluding the Mercedes DTM all aero will be the same,

I don't really want all the cars even. I would like to run atleast one car from each class, but other than cc's i don't know the limitations of each class.

well... if you get all the car's at the same power and almost minimum weight there will be an unclear leader, all the car's will do things differently, like DTM, the BMW has its strong points and so does the TT but neither have both,

I was thinking 3 teams per class and there be 5 classes. Sp8, Sp8T, Sp4T, Sp3T, Sp3. possibly substitutions?

If you put a car list up I can spec all the car's for you,

This sounds really cool.

thanks mate.

And Dave I was thinking spec-ing the cars to class you know. such as the Sp8 class has the I SF, LFA, and the RM c6. oviously the ISF is less powered than the corvette and the LFA. so i figured we will meet the two extremes in the middle, for each class.

Maybe for races you could do race starts on Saturday & Finish on Sunday.

well like I said, if you give me car list, listed in their desired classes, and how you want them as the class a power and weight base line etc, but you need to remember RM cars have downforce and normal cars don't,

and mate I'm more then happy to help,

James if your interested PM me all the required data, and what kind of time frame are you looking for.

ya dave I'll PM you some stats. and we could get all the fine tunning down. cause i have a list of cars that participated in the 24 hr. in 2011 but not 2012 yet. and thats what i've been based my roster on thus far

I have posted a social group for discussions about run time, time of day, weekend schedules and so on. post up a new topic there if you wish.

are you talking about the Wurks 24hr?

Oh  well there are plenty of vehicles in GT5 that have participated in that,

precisely, I just don't know what specs. they ran in the real thing. and either way I would kind of like to run the cars at as peak as possible.

How about we setup a 4 hour GT endurance spot race? The cars we would use would be cars that are seen now in the GT classes of ALMS, WEC, Grand-Am, Ect. Ect.

Depending on what we have for cars we could do 3 classes.

Class 1: Super Cars
Class 2: Sports Cars
Class 3: Muscle Cars

do you think you could get a few other folks together? what cars did you have in mind?

Well we would set it up then put it on the spots & time trials part of the forums. For cars I was thinking this. Lists below:

Class 1: Corvette ZR1, Ford GT, Dodge Viper ACR, Ferrari 458 Italia

Class 2: Audi R8, Aston Martin V12 or DB9

Class 3: Camaro

This is just what I could think of off the top of my head. I am open to more car selections.

hmmm maybe. we should run a few test laps. discuss the details a bit haha
