Welcome to the fastest racing series in GTP. We feature Gran Turismo's most original cars in this racing series and they are beefed-up to even outpace LMP cars.

Regulations:

-Premium Cars Only.

-Any car from 1985-2000. (Apart from viper GTS and Corvette ZO6 C5)

-All cars must be RWD. (MR, FR, RR)

-All cars must have Race Car chassis with a maximum downforce of 50 Front and 90 Rear.

-Weight can only be around 750-950kg. The lighter the car the less power it shall have.

750kg=1000bhp

850kg=1100bhp

950=kg=1200bhp

-The power ranges from 1000-1200bhp no more no less.

-You are allowed to convert 4WD cars into RWD.

-Every car must have racing-style spoilers or body-kits.

Banned Regulations:

--No TCS, SRF, and every other aid including racing lines. Apart from ABS.

-You will not use FF or 4WD cars.

-You are not allowed to convert FF cars into RWD.

-No Race Cars as the body.

-Every car must have its stock drivetrain. (Or its Race Car version)

-No dirty driving. (Only race clean)

-No swearing.

-No aggressive arguing.

Online Events:

Online events will be brought up only when I decide when they will be hosted. It won't be a consistent weekly deal. Its more messy than that. I will post & edit the OP for when I plan the Online Events to be launched.

Post your Nurburgring Time Trials.

Thank you and have fun!

Now lets talk about what cars you're going to use and what specs they have with what mods they have on them ect...

Fire away!

I thought that you would be making the cars for people to use, but I guess that would get a bit carried away. I have a Ford GT '06 with 1392 horsepower that I can detune to 550 HP. I believe it weighs 980 KG. The car has a 1969 Ford GT40 engine on a Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car chassis with front and rear downforce.

And no, I didn't make the car myself.

You're fit for racing with us! What are the downforce settings?

50 front, 70 back. I will be competing in the 1,000 HP class, as I find that a little bit more controllable than 12-1300 HP. At that range, the car has a lot of wheelspin when I accelerate, particularly going through and out of turns.

Ok I see your reasons. Maybe you could decrease the things on the LSD? Apart from the brake sensitivity of course.

I'll try that. But on some cars I owned in the past (cars with less than 1,000 HP obviously) they still slid about when I dropped acceleration to 5.

Do you have a wheel? Its much more controller-ble!:lol:

I make such bad jokes... :guilty:

Anyways. I use the DFGT with a custom manual shifter & handbrake. Its sooo coool! Only cost £85 in total.

I don't have enough room for a wheel/pedals and I don't want to spend extra money just to play the game a little better. I think my biggest problem at the moment is my TV isn't that great (18.5 inch flatscreen) because there is a LOT of screen tearing (I think that's GT5's fault), it will get really dark at random times, and I can't see the important little numbers/how far I am from another car when I sit back in my bed.

Hmmm...... I guess your onlychice is to buy a HD FlatScreen. But they are not at all as expansive as you may think.

The wheel adds an entire dimension onto GT5. You treat the game differently and understand it in a whole new way. But I recommend getting a wheel after getting the HD Flat Screen.

I know you may not have much room but I'll send a pic 2moz of my setup. Its extremely compact in a really tiny room despite the fact I have B&W speakers for the sound. A phat-ass amp and a 50 inch screen. All at low cost. Most of it for bargain steal prices from the dump! No joke! They are the best B&W's I've used.

You will ROFL when you see my setup. its quite bizzare how a setup at large scales can fit in such a tiny space.

I've seen some videos of people tearing out old arcade cabinets with the big steering wheel and seats, then installing a PS3 inside, replacing the tv and upgrading the wheel & pedals. Pretty interesting.

Funny enough I was planning to do that

i must say, this is a genious idea!
Ill see if ill convert my Hyper GT-R into a RWD, or if ill make another one.

^_^ I'm so proud you like the idea! 3 is a crowd right. And thank you very much. The GT-R will need to be the R32 or R33 model due to the year restrictions.

This is because it'll be more competitive this way. And will look cooler seeing the most original Gran Turismo cars battle it out.

Thank you ever so much!

Hybrids are amazing, but I'm worried someone might abuse them by cheating street car racing series with the racing variant's parts installed. Example: BMW M3 E46 with M3 GTR Race Car chassis, engine, transmission, aerodynamics, and practically everything else in the racecar put on the street car.

At least it's easy to tell who is and who isn't doing that.

well.... Thats nearly allowed in this series....

So, I don't think this series is going to have a chance. Just look at the GTP news. Thanks for punishing people that made your game better, PD.

I guess we'll have to close this dream. Now its only a dream. And will forever be a dream.

:( It was a good idea while it lasted. It's just a shame that PD hasn't taken notice of the good that hybrids have done and only look at the bad. I mean 3K HP civics, 20K HP GT-Rs, and 100K Red Bulls are quite damaging, but what about the realistic cars? How about cars with visual only mods like removed bumpers and spoilers.

[sarcasm]Although, I can see how a slight visual difference from every other car will ruin the Gran Turismo 5 multiplayer portion as a whole. [/sarcasm]
