Few points to clarify:

  1. Banner: Let me know if this banner appears correctly on your screen. If not, I'll resize it to 700pix.
  2. Date and time: For now, I plan to run this series in the same timeslot than PURE Spec Silvia Series.
  3. Tire / Fuel consumption: Need to do some tests to sort which option we will use (fast or v. fast). Will be set to very fast.
  4. Safety Car rule: Should we use it or not? (you can find this rule here). There will be no Safety Car rule.
  5. Damages: Light or heavy? In case of no Safety Car, I would prefer to use light damages.
  6. *NEW* Qualifications: Click here (final decision)
  7. *NEW* Schedule: Click here
  8. *NEW* Car Specs: Click here
(final decision)

Note: Rules and regulations of FMSC 5 will be similar to FMSC 4, don't hesitate to take a look 👍

Feel free to give your opinion about all these points. 👍

1. Doesn't work for me.
2. Sounds great
3. Just fast would be cool for longer races (an hour)
4. Nah
5. ... I don't know! Really torn on this question. Kind of leaning toward heavy for old time's sake but... limited is more fun in some ways.

1. Doesn't work for me either
2. 👍
3. I prefer very fast, otherwise every race is a 1 stop.
4. No for me.
5. Heavy damage is the only way to go IMO

Hi, Will :)

I do enjoy these visuals a lot 👍

Would also be thriled to "see" that some aditional balast is set as default - to get more fun out of creating "ideal" ratios of weight/power/aero (it's far more interesting when you have the option to also Reduce weight, not ONLY to increase it)?

And. . . YEAH, FUN FUN FUN :)

1. Nice :)
2. ok for me
3. 2 stopper would be nice, so I guess very fast
4. Never have run with a SC, don't see a point either
5. Heavy sounds intresting.

Date and time works for me.
I would prefer very fast, but I don't have a problem with fast.
I have never liked safety cars online.
With damage I am willing to go either way, but if I had to choose I would lean toward light damage.

Guys I'm interested in knowing more about this cup because Miata.

Is all the necessary stuff decided upon yet?

I can do on saturdays but do I have to sign up somewhere?

This is just the pre-season discussion thread. So don't be so hurry for now 👍

Rules and regulations will be pretty close to season 4, very well organized by Jason (R1600Turbo).

For sure, registration, results, quali grids etc will be hosted on our PURE website .

EDIT: treed by Franck :sly:
And of course i'll put a link to the official thread before to close this one 👍

Qualifications:

Well, for FMSC 5 I was thinking about this:

2 timed laps (FMSC old school)
Quali are run with "Normal" tirewear.
After a Quali session we ask to the driver if he wants to run a 2nd one hoping to beat his best lap in previous session.
In any case, the 2nd quali count, even if it's slower than the 1st one. So it's up to the driver to choose if he wanna run a 2nd one or not.

Thoughts?

EDIT: sorry for the double post

ok. It's too late to join the Silvia race (Interested as well).

Nah... Too late. Plus tomorrow I can't make it. I might sign in as part time.

1. Works fine Will
2. Time works good too
3. Very fast in my opinion. Like Dave said, will beat the 1 pit strategy which has always happened
4. Personally I liked the safety car when Jason did it, helped an awful lot for the guys who had an unlucky start, but as I cant see anybody doing it i'd say no
5. Heavy, always!

Please, just give at least one glance to Madrid reverse? Granted, most revers are not quite good, but at Madrid it is indeed far more friendly racing and overtaking wise.

QUALIFIYING - I love your idea! Really feel like it's best posible combo of all current aproaches.
DAMAGE - If safety car is on, then heavy. Otherwise oposite for me.

I did. Schedule is now finalized and showed in the OP's video (available this weekend).

Thanks for your feedbacks, much appreciated.

I still need to work on graphics and body text for the main thread. All should be live this weekend.
I also plan to send a mass PM invite 👍

Don't worry, we usually use the "one drop rule" which allows you to not lose any point on the standings from others if you miss a race.

Qualifications (final rule):

You have 9 Qualifier sessions for the FMSC Season 5 (1 for each Round plus 3 spares). You can use your spare sessions for free.
e.g.1: Round 1, you use your standard session + 1 spare - so you have 7 sessions for the rest of the season.

If you plan to race without running your Qualifier (back of the grid), you will loose 1 Quali session.
If you plan to don't race a round and to don't quali for this round either, you will loose 1 Quali session.

--------------------------------------------

Still working on the the Main Thread. There will be 4 OP's :dopey:
Should be ready Thursday or Friday 👍
