The members of the GTP community produce some stunning works of art with the digital photos produced in GT5. Many of us use them as wallpaper on our computers, so why not pop them into a calendar to hang on your wall? That is exactly what we aim to do!

The competition is simple: following the established rules of the existing competitions within the community we will select 12 photos to represent the "Best of GTPlanet" and place them into a professionally made wall calendar that will be available to purchase online. No profit will be made other than to have a good time!

THEME
Further explanation of the theme:

Things are now starting to get warmer this month...or at least less cold. After being cooped up indoors it would be nice to break away from the stifling walls and into the outdoors, of course! Find your best shot for this month and show us how you would enjoy nature.

CARS: Any...or none!
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: See description

RULES
Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, send me a Private Message.
  • Do not vote for your own entry.
[*]Do not try to sway the poll.
[*]In the event of a tie, a 24 hour poll is created.
[*]Please, view each image in it's full size, before voting.

POLL CLOSES
July 14th, 2013

Of note, Momo PeeZero's entry was omitted from the poll as he won the February competition. You may still view it in the original thread here.

I'm not sure, but, I think the elise entry may be breaking the rules by adding that license plate. I still voted for it though :dopey:.

I think the plates are ok, depends how you interpret it. What does DigitalBaka think?

"What you may do to a photo:

Crop and/or resize an image.
Adjust the level or curve values.
Alter the colour tone of the image (gradient maps, photo filters, colour balance, etc).
Car body colour change (all stickers/design features must remain, see "Remove Items" rule).
Adjust brightness, contrast, exposure, shadow/highlights.
Enhance shadows or highlights (dodge and burn tools in Photoshop, for example).
Add noise and/or diffuse glow.
Add a post-game tilt-shift blur, or apply a motion blur to a stationary Photomode shot.
Make use of Layer Blend Modes.
Use a Sharpening filter and/or tool.
Scale or enlarge rims.

Remove or modify license plates.
Remove the GT watermark.
Add a personal signature.
Clean up or fix jaggies, texture pixelation, or colour separation.
Add a vignette effect."

I think that it is allowed as long as the license plate modification was made entirely by the user and no objects out of GT5 were used. So it should be fine then :dopey:

Yeah, that's where the interpretation bit comes in. There's the 'no objects from outside GT5' & there's '...modify license plates'. How far can you modify? Nato would know:tup:

This issue came up not too long ago in a 2.0 comp.

A shot was disallowed because the plate change had used a image source. But if it were created yourself I would think it is fine.

To the best of my investigative techniques I believe the plate to be legal. If anyone finds anything off about it we can have someone better than I look, or if Ray would like to confirm one way or the other that would be even better. :)

As it stands though, it looks to be alright in my eyes.

A very close poll this time, but the next to be kicked out of the remaining months is GPR! Congrats!

Thanks DigitalBaka and Eric. And of course to the voters.

It was a close poll. And in a way I feel it's a shame to have won and not have a showing in the other months but I can't complain. ;)

I hope most folks who didn't vote for my shot feel my it is worthy of being in the Calendar.
