Stats:
Production: 2009-present
Style: 4-door sedan
Engine: 170 ci (2,792 cc) turbocharged V6 (rated 321 HP and 321 lb-ft)
Layout: Front-engine, all-wheel-drive

My take? Not sure I have one.

At first glance, it looks well, interesting. It's kind of bland and I think it would blend in to most of what's out today if you out it on the street...I probably wouldn't notice it. But the body seems decent as far as curves go. I don't know. I wouldnt buy it personally though. Power output seems good but it doesn't bump it to a cool. I'll go meh on this one.

Being American, I have never seen one of this in person, and this just appears to be a run-of-the-mill European sedan.

But what impresses me is the fact that it has 300+ HP and all-wheel-drive, which I wouldn't have expected from a car that looked like this. The only clue that it's not a run-of-the-mill European sedan would be the fact that the wheels look a little sportier than I would've expected.

The "sleeper-factor" raises this car up a level in my book.

COOL

It's a certain cool from me. Good looking, surprisingly quick and all wheel drive. I really like understated cars like this :)

Seriously uncool, just like every other Opel/Vauxhall Insignia/Vectra/Cavalier.

Even if it weren't designed by a team who thought the Avensis looked really exiting, if only its lines were a bit softer. Also it needed fangs.

Cool.

A nice, not too shouty car with a good power output and decent looks. Would seem pretty 'nice' over here, even though it's a Vauxhall.

Cool. Sad to see Opel gone from Australian shores after only a year. Looks great, decent performance, and it doesn't have a scerrick of dullness from its forebears within it.

The standard Insignia is Seriously Uncool: poor interior quality, hard seats and bland styling. The VXR bumps it up to uncool but it can't shake the image that it's just a poor man's Audi S4.

It's uncool. I can't think of really anything that stands out about it and it's just really uninspiring.

Being American, I have never seen one of this in person, and this just appears to be a run-of-the-mill European sedan.

We sort of get it as a Buick Regal.

...and people complain about cars from the 90s looking like jellybeans? The only thing saving this from Seriously Uncool is that engine and drivetrain, which, in a car whose design actually inspired some feeling other than utter boredom, would be Cool. The design...it's like they didn't even try; it's the same as every other four door family car on the planet right now except for a few superficial things like the shape of the lights and grill.

Also, those wheels have got to be some of the ugliest I've seen on a car in years.

Uncool.

Cool, I guess.

No experience with the Opel, but the Buick Regal GS isn't a bad car. Shame we don't get the turbo V6, we get a turbo 4. (270hp, 295 ft/lbs) Still decent for a car like this though.

Well, my decision still stands for the Opel version, but I'd rate the Buick version lower.

That is disappointing.

An S4 performance-rival for the price of an A3/S3?

Sub Zero.

Looks better than the other cars in it's class, it's also much cheaper.
And a 100,000/Unlimited Year warranty?
How could you say it's crap?

Don't know anything about this car and it looks like a typical family sedan. Meh.

Even a performance version of the Insignia fails to look anything other than dull.

I suppose the AWD drivetrain seems like a rather interesting choice for it, and the estate version does a little more to draw my attention in a good way. But it's nothing extraordinary.

Looks fresh, different, and those black rims make it look very clean but, but also aggresive... This car really caught my eye...

Cool

From just looking at it, I wouldn't expect it to have 300hp. Cool it is.
