I need Tips on the new gt force pro wheel

sup guys im new here but ive been going here for like 2 years now. ive been drifting for like 2 months now with the gt force wheel and pretty much mastered it and just wandering would it be the same if i drift with the gt force pro wheel because im buying it soon because everyone who drifts say its the best wheel ever yet. Can u guys tell me wats the difference between the old one and the new one bcause imma be mad if its different than the old one and i have to master it again which took months mastering most of the techniques. oh yea if u drift with a 900 deg. wheel do u turn it like 540 deg. to countersteer when ur drifting because that seems hard to do with the stick shift and all.

Hi and welcome PnoY_Drifter112.
You dont have to use the 900 degree mode, i would rather say that it is better to stick with the 180 degree one. the 900 just feel feels wrong with GT3.
Just stick with 180 and there wont be all that much "remastering" going on, well thats what i think but, im sure you will find it easy to adapt.
Superb wheel.

1 more question does the wheel turn 900 in GT3 or only GT4?because if it is i wanna master it before GT4 comes out and all.Thx

You can unlock the wheel to 900 degrees ,but gt3 doesn't support it, so if your trying to drift/ drive with 900 your wasting your time man. You will have to wait till gt4 to master it.

I don't really care for a dubbed version. i perfer subbed.Aslo this thing is way off topic. Will a mod come fix this place up.
 
900 degree mode sucks with GT3 and it doesn't save the calibration settings.

I was really looking forward to at least trying this feature, but was disappointed to find how poorly the wheel performed with 900 degrees of travel.

Getting that sharp turn-in you need makes drifting with it almost impossible.

Even in GT4, I won't have it set any greater than 260 degrees total left to right travel.

You have to realize that even high powered F1 car steering wheels only have like 180 degrees of steering.

Save the 900 degrees for when you go to pick up groceries..

I think it's too early to judge. Since no game fully supports the 900 degree feature.

I'm sure that it'll be much different in GT4 since it was designed for that wheel specifically. Just like the last one was designed for GT3.

The Driving Force Pro can be used on a computer with these drivers.

You'll soon find how extraordinarily difficult it is countersteer and correct if your back end starts slipping. People who claim to drift with other 900 degree wheels, such as those constructed by ActLabs, are reverred for their skill.

I almost instantly realized how difficult it was to even grip drive with it, let alone drift, so if GT4 is anywhere near as realistic as LFS, my wheel will be set no higher than 260 degrees.

I'm actually starting to feel that the reason why I destroyed my last car is because I couldn't correct fast enough, due to the excessive amount of steering that was required in suck a short amount of time.

Even Tsuchiya in his BMI videos is noted for his lightning fast steering ability..

Well, you got me there. :dunce: I totally forgot about LFS. Being that I'm not a PC gamer. It's too expensive. But you make a good point.

When you say you destroyed your car, are you talking real life or the game? I'm not sure how LFS is setup.

I know that there will be massive amounts of input needed for the 900 degree mode. But I still think that it'll be doable.

I've driven on a track(not drifting) multiple times and can't remember ever having to turn the wheel of any car more the once. But that was for grip not drift. I know drifting is a whole other story.

But if LFS is very realistic, then why do you hav eto steer soo much when grip driving? the steering should be proportional to the cars steering ability. So you shouldn't have to constantly spin the wheel in excessive amounts.

Does that sound reasonable?
 
How do you change the wheel to 900 degree?
cause my logitech driving force wheel only turn for 180 degree

that is true about the BMI thing, but also remember that inertia and friction have a role in how fast you wheel will spin. you notice in GT3 when you do a feint, you have to jab the wheel to the opposite direction and give it a quick jab to the other direction and you let go of the wheel, it will spin by itself. friction and inertia have something to do with this. just realize this is a video game not real life, all they can do is simulate real life, not display it complete and accurate. it is different in real life, when I'm driving to go around a 90 corner I only need to turn the wheel just a little bit, if I did that in GT3 with the 900 degree mode, I would be still going straight but slowly creeping to the direction I'm turning in.

and the feedback provides way too much resistance for you to be able to successfully drift in 900 degree mode sucessfully.

The subbed versions have been out for a while.... I have episodes 1 through 4 (of 4th stage), on my HD.....

I also have all 4 eps so far. 1+2 were better then 3+4 IMO. But that's totally off topic....my bad.
