AndertonI saw it Saturday night. It was pretty funny, but not on par with South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut by any means. Some of the humour was over the top, particularly an oral sex scene before the climax of the film that lost the audience a bit.
As usual, though, the songs are some of the best parts of the movie. Well, that and the super-racism to be found throughout. Kim Jong-Il (sp?) is one of those characters depicted with such a flagrant prejudiced and racist attitude that it actually becomes funny, to a degree.
Overall it's worth seeing, but I don't think it will ever become a classic or even achieve the status of South Park. It's also rated 18A in Canada, so teenagers need an over-18-year-old to get in.
SS69the two funniest things were the team america theme song and that drunk guys analogies on the ...
Anderton PrimeUmm, in case the two of you hadn't noticed, I did in fact understand both the reason and the desired effect behind the racism in the movie. I wasn't criticizing the treatment of Kim Jong Il, merely using it as an example of what occurs in the movie.
But just because someone is evil doesn't necessarily mean you should EVER resort to racism. Of course you probably know that.
Can you say "MAJOR VIOLATION OF THE AUP?"elementalI don't know, I just needed a reason to post that.
continually? when else?Jimmy EnslashayI actually can't see this picture, as Ebaum's World is blocked from my school, but I reported the post, and I encourage anyone else offended by this or with a consideration for the rules to do the same.
elemental -- you are continually breaking the rules. I suggest reading the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service found in my signature and at the bottom of the page, have a long look at it and consider it when posting. Thanks.
