The current issue of OPS2 magazine in the UK had a GT4 advert over the first two pages.

While no launch date is given it would seem unlikely that the marketing campaign would start unless a rough date had been fixed.

The SCEE site now gives Feb 2005, as does OPS2; both were until recently showing Q1 2005.

Fingers crossed for Feb '05

I have already seen TV ads.... I think.

I'd actually prefer it about mid march, after my exams..

When?

The closest I've seen is the general Sony Wega ad that has a very brief clip of what looks like GT3 in it.

It was the 'this is GT4 but we aren't showing you a bit of it' advert. It was on one of teh satellite channels. Can't remember which.

The Sony advert has GT4P in it, with the JGTC Takata NSX... :D

I saw a different GT4 advert in a magazine last month. But I can't remember what magazine it was in. I'm sure it was Top Gear mag.

There's no reason on God's Earth why they should delay the game anymore. Espically as it's out now in certain parts of the World. It's not like PD haven't translated a game before.

Roll on late Feb :D

Cheers

Jamie

WHY!!!
north america is getting screwed in the @$$

KY needs to start giving us more info, I'm really getting pissed about this

I have no choice but to get the original game due to a old PS2 but I knw numerous people buying pirates because of the delay.

It's totally ticking me off..... or it's just making me depressed

:indiff: :ouch: :grumpy:

Hope these adverts actually mean something unlike the US ones, which just annoyed everyone with the delay. It would be somewhat ironic if PAL users got it before NTSC/A?... hopefully both will be released at the same time. <cough> aslong as it isn't at the expense of the PAL release date

yeah, it sucks. All we're stuck with is speculation, and what the stores guess is the date when they'll be receiving it. The funny thing is, even though the stores don't have any idea, apparently that's what we're supposed to rely on. I got an email from sony about the release date, here it is:

Hello:

If EU get gt4 before US, then i will feel sorry for US, they haven go anything, no demo, prolouge ect..

So i hope for a same release date :sly:

I am so ready for GT4 at least I have NFS UG2 and GT3 to pass the time till it comes out.

I so want them to bring a GT4 demo out for Jan with Nürburgring as a track to drive around and a lot of the European cars.

Exactly!
I wonder whose bright idea it was over at Sony/PD to only give certain regions a chance at getting GT:P but not everyone else?

Oh well! Not like this hasn't happened before with other games I'm sure!
We'll just have to bite our lips and continue to wait for that all important U.S. release date! :)

EDIT: Just a made a few minor corrections to Super Supra's quote so it's a bit easier to read.

Samer here, it would be more than a bit shi**y if we got GT4 before the US.

One Toyota demo and thats it, hard to imagine what kind of a stste I would be in without Concept, Prologue and the BMW demo.

Scaff - is the BMW demo worth getting hold of? - i've seen a few on ebay, but don't want to bother bidding too high if its crap.

Two cars (120i and 120d), three tracks ('ring, Amalfi and New York) and a three minute time limit. Its a bit limiting in choice, however it does show off the new physics very well, particularly at the 'ring.

Got mine for free from my local BMW dealer, some may still have copies (but I find it unlikely).

Personnally I would not pay more than a fiver for it, given that OPS2 is likely to have a demo on the cover soon (fingers crossed) as they have for every previous full version of GT and late Feb seems to be a likely release date.

All that aside, I still drag out the BMW demo on a very regular basis, because the 'ring with a decent wheel is wonderful.

Upshot, if you can get one cheap, go for it, and I would still try a few BMW dealers, you never know you may get lucky.

I wouldn't pay for it if I were you (unless its a few quid tops inc delivery), yes it demostrates the new physics but the 1 series itself sucks balls & is a really dull car in GT4 atleast. You'd probably be better off waiting for a PAL demo (like Japanese one hopefully) which shouldn't be too far off now.

maybe Us gets it begining of March and Eu gets it end of Feb so thats a close date , if there is a translation thing going on as we speak shouldn't the american version have english and spanish and portuges ,which is already languages in europe so it would be easier for sony north america just to take it from EU?(this is a Q)
