like everyone else said, its definatly much better then Prologue and Nurburgring Demo
since i got the GT3 save, i started off with an extra 10million CR. this was more then enough for me to purchase a Evolution 8 MR. i had a tough time deciding which i should get, a EVO 8 MR or the evo 8 RS or the WRX STi Spec C. in the end i choose the MR, cuz i just love it so much.
i actually went ahead and did B license first. got silver on my first try. what a waste of time.
since i hate doing license, i went straight ahead using my Evo8 and race those crappy cars in sunday club.
did a few race here and there, went into professional hall and notice that i can do Clubman race using B-Spec mode if i didnt have an National A license, so tried that, and won 300,000 CR seriously, B-Spec mode is great. easy money for those lazy ppl that dont wanna do license but wanna tune cars.
also the mystery mode someone talked about earlier is actually just racing other cars on the track. no entry fee required.
someone also posted that a dodge ram, or S2000 using other car's stock wheels. these wheels are purchased in Wheel of the day selection
tires are another cool factor.
Street tires are classified into Street, Comfort and Economic. obviously Street are the ones like Neova AD07, RE-01 type tires. while comfort is more like pilot sports, and economics are ur average RE-92 or Turanza type tires
Sport tires are actually Advan A048 or similar S-Tires. u get 3 differen compund to choose from, hard, medium and soft. my Evo8 MR came with medium sport tires (Advan A046)
this is it for now, continuing to play
B-Spec mode:
not really "that" great.... the AI is completely retarded... i made a ghost car on tsukuba with my own EVO8 MR with a time of 58 something seconds... the AI was slower then my time by nearly 10 seconds.
at full aggressive mode, the AI always drive into the grass and almost lose control
exhaust note change:
after installing the stage 3 turbo, i notice the car is ALOT louder and rougher.
update 12/31:
Stock M5 on Tsukuba 59.853, half a tank of gas did around 22 laps on the track day session
newest lap record is now 59.800 on the 40th lap
2am: entered the BMW M-series race with B-spec. it seems the more u use B-Spec, the better the AI is. my AI was able to beat the competitors by huge margin
Car Review
+ Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C 04
this car is great, i didnt even bother tuning it cuz most opponents drive stock cars. but this car just handles VERY well even in stock form, it is the best handleing car i've driven so far in this game
+ Amuse S2000 R1 Titan
very balanced car, i was able to win all those american V8 cars like corvette, mustangs in the NA tune race series by quite a bit. despite having only 268HP and hardly any torque.
+ BMW M5 '05
this thing is a beast... handles like dream, even having 1700KG weight, it doesnt feel like it, the engine sounds great and powerful. another really fun to drive car.
overated cars:
- MB SLR McLaren
it is very fast, but abit boring to drive. (on regular circuits like Fuji) not very impressive handling either.
edit: after taking this car to the Nurburgring, its a totally different beast..... this thing CAN NOT be driven on Japanese based circuits.... it belongs in the Nurburgring.... fastest lap so far is 7:27.120 with the SLR McLaren.
the braking power and its stability under braking is what this car is all about.
- Impreza 22B STi
Rare, good looking, claimed to be the "Best Street Car" back when it was released in 98. maybe it got to do with the one i got which is used and had over 50k KM on the odo.
- Option Stream Z2
absolutly no cornering at all. huge turbo lag. but then this car is tuned for top speed. not a very useful car, cuz all it can be great on is test course.
these are only some of the cars i've driven extensively.
