Drift Photo Competition : Week 2 Poll

Yes, there are only 15 entries to choose from. We decided on this to do this because having 30 or 50 entries is just too many. When voting on the polls comes around 80% of the photos end up having no vote or 1 vote.

Very well done 194GVan! Excellent. This also makes it quicker to get into the next competition since we don't have to sift through mountains of pics.

Does it matter if I also judge on c/s? I can see from some cars, that they weren't able to save it thrue the corner, I think just by the countesteer of SOME, not all of them.

Is that fair?

It doesnt matter if they pulled it off or not after the pic was taken, we're not judging that.

Edit: voted for the blue.....subaru, the second one....I think it looks great

But I couldn't really chose between this one and the yellow 270R, that one looks great too:tup:

yeah, i pulled the pictures together for the poll and got it posted, but i had the hardest time trying to decide my favorite one. I liked all of them for different reasons.

I just have to say, I've got some really nice pics. that could be competing in this thread:tup: Only I saw the orange S2000 on here, now THAT pic. shouldn't be so close up to the car, the same thing for some other pictures, but I would like this pic. ALOT if it was zoomed out MUCH more, just to see the suroundings too

Then you might have an idea of how my pictures look like: far more surrounding:tup:

I don't say it IS better this way, I just say that >I< would like it more this way, cause opinions differ, that's just the way it is

So it's no bad pic at all :sly:

Edit: I see that ALL the cars are pretty close up, except for the one before the last one.........the sorta black-white one if you know what I mean

yeah the s2000 pic has all the detail in all the right places, I havent taken any convertable pics myself but i thought it was cool how the driver was looking ahead of the turn in the pic and the slight countersteer. really captures the essence of drifting.

but like you said, zooming out or even another angle of the same car in the same spot could have also produced some amazing pictures.

but in the end i went for the yellow 400R

Thats what I tried with my drift photo to be different, so I zoomed out and did a big wide picture with the forresty trees in the background.

I think the S2000 pic is very very slick. It's kind of like it just "appeared" from behind the rock face. That would be a great video clip if you could get the same angle. But yeah, I voted for the S2000.
