The Track: Midfield
The Car: Any LMP Car: Any Mods: Supersoft Tires
The Race: Hotlap: GT Mode
*There will be TWO divisions, one WITH NOS and one WITHOUT NOS.*
Any modifications may be made to the car, including NOS. Time must be achieved in GT Mode. All OLR rules apply, 2-wheel on track at all times, no wall touches. All t-times and final times may be discussed in the is thread. Leaderboard will be updated on this post.

what are these settings, i drove the 89C or what ever and its s***, no fun at all. The car just chatters everywhere, ive tried lowering the spring rate and highering the ride height, and visa versa.

54.xxx is my best time so far, whats going on.

What cars are you guys running and what settings, and does your car chatter across the track?

The car is the Toyota Minolta 88C-V and yes, it is really unstable. I hated it too, at first. My first time was 0'54.458.

If I improved 2 seconds and a half, I am sure you can too, Small_Fryz ;)
In fact, I would be surprised if you are not going to be in front of me, pretty soon :scared: :D

The car, as I said, it's really shakey and unstable, and no settings seem to help or improve that (in my case, at least). You just have to live with it :D

I will PM you the settings I am currently using 👍 I hope they will help you a little bit...

EDIT: Yes, the car is quite a talker, too. You can hear the tires screeching, especially on the straight. It's really funny :lol: Especially when you watch the replay in Chase View mode, and you can see the wing and the body of the car twisting - really amusing!

It really is strange how the car shakes on the straight. Even without doing any turning whatsoever the car seems to want to blow up :lol:.

icemanshooter23, if I may give a suggestion, you should include in the leaderboard what vehicle each racer is using, to make the picture more complete 👍

I am using the Toyota Minolta 88C-V.

I tried some more laps, last night, but I couldn't improve my time at all. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even get close to it :indiff:

Good idea, I totally forgot about that. I did some laps using NOS to see what I could do and got a 49.685 :sly:.

Nice time 👍 So using NOS shaves almost 2 seconds from a time achieved without, on Midfield.

That's a ~3.42% decrease in time, quite a bit, for a ~50 seconds track.

I tried some laps in Arcade Mode as well (Power maxed out, Weight at its minimum, Top speed left at its default setting - 400km), I got into the 15.7xx's and 15.5xx's a couple of times, at T1, and 32.2xx once at T2, which gave me a final, dirty lap time of 0'52.2xx.

It's really hard and frustrating to get a clean and fast lap on this track, with a uber fast car like the Minolta.

Regardless, I am going to keep trying. I don't like 52, I want to get into the 51's as well :D :sly:

I just did some quick math and it seems that the increase in HP is almost in proportion with final time, assuming a NOS setting of 70 increases HP by 70. Kinda strange, but it shows how good of a test track Midfield can be.

Add me to the non nitrus bracket, my car has R5 tires actually to make this short it meets all the listed requirements and i used the toyota GT-One
and my time is 51.999 seconds thank you
 
Sorry for quoting the whole post but i gave you my time it was 51.999 at midfield no nitrus but were you going to post my time oh ya i used the gt-one just so you know ok.

I got down to a 52.75 after about 6 laps. I can probably go faster. That's in a Minolta Toyota with no nitrous.
 
Hello all, those are nice laptimes posted here. I decided to try Midfield out a bit and managed to achieve a 51.698 in the Toyota Minolta 88C - V 89. This was done without nitrous, I can't take the first turn out of the tunnel very well yet, so maybe there will be some improvement. Well that's my time so far, good racing.
