Alright all, I have finally gotten the NA version of the QRG into a Beta testable form.

NA Quick Reference Guide - 750 Cars.

NA QRG Used Car Classifieds - 273 Cars.

Above are the links you should use to get to the two main QRG starting points. Where you go from there is up to you:

  • Click on a individual car name ---> Car Detail Screen
    • Close Garage ---> Close Car Detail Screen.
    • Photo Lab ---> Photomode pics of the car.
    • Classifieds ---> A listing of all the appearances of the car.

  • Sort ---> Customize the Order of the list.
    • Make & Model ---> Sort the list in alphabetical order.
    • Cost ---> Sort the list by Cost.
    • Power ---> Sort the list by HP.
    • Torque ---> Sort the list by ft.lbs.
    • Wgt : Pwr ---> Sort the list by Weight to Power Ratio (lower is better).
    • Value ---> Sort the list by Value (lower is better).
  • Filter ---> Customize the Cars on the list.
    • Make & Model ---> Filter by Make.
    • New/Used ---> Filter by Condition.
    • Cost ---> Filter by Cost.
    • Type ---> Filter by Drivetrain.
    • Power ---> Filter by HP.
    • Torque ---> Filter by ft.lbs.
    • Wgt : Pwr ---> Filter by Weight to Power Ratio.
    • Value ---> Filter by Value.
  • Use Garage Stats ---> Replace the showrooms stats with actual garage stats.

Please note that the Photo Lab is not yet up and running. Also most of the image captures are not up yet. So, you will see many of the coming soon images. For an example of what I expect the completed version to look like, click on the Subaru 22B, and then view its classifieds.

That is the gist of what the QRG can do.

Now, this is just a BETA version. Which means errors and inconsistencies are expected, even though I hope they will be few. If anything looks wrong or does not work the way it should, please let me know in this thread. Also, questions or suggestions are welcome, and I have already received a few via PM.

For future versions, I hope to include the ability to filter by Country of Origin, Decade, and Length.

thx

is it going to be images taken foto mode and not in the car dealer like in the one before which is great. and when about is it going to be finished

Initially, I was planning on having the showroom pics just like the JPN version. After that, if there is enough interest, I was thinking maybe having GTP'ers post there best photomode pics and include them in each car's photo lab. This would give you a great idea of each car's looks.

As for the finish date, I am currently working my way through the Used Cars lists. I am finished with the first 60 rotations and according to my calculations, I will be done with that no later than April 10.

The rest (color swatches, garage photos, etc.) should be completed by the end of April.

I like the interface you have made looks real nice.

As far as the other site goes they are already missing one car that I can see.
I couldnt find the listing for the Sileighty.

When you are finished, Will you be able to post the root folder for the QRG so that it's available for download to Hard Drive? I'd save the site and save it 4 links deep but that would get all the advertisers sites and so forth. The easiest way to do it would be to save the root folder when you are finished and put it up for download.
I'd even host it too, I have a pretty big account with Verizon.
I like to save things like this for future reference and I can garuntee you that it won't be posted here ten years from now. lol
(trust me, I will still be playing gt4 ten years from now, I still play my old genesis games daily.)
It would also be nice so that users could save it to hard drive and not have to connect online all the time just to use it. I know it'd be a pretty big file, but many people have broadband or at least access to it so it doesn't seem to hard to get.

S31Ender, I would have no problem making the root available for DL. The only thing that might get in the way is the fact that it is written in PHP. In order for it to run on your HD, you would have to set up a local php server on your CPU. I am not sure if you are familiar with this process or not, but it is pretty involved and requires downloading and running several hefty programs.

If this is still something you would be interested in (or if you already have a PHP test server set-up) I would be happy to provide the QRG in a downloadable form.

dbartucci, I believe Hatch was referring to the German site which is linked above. They are missing the Sileighty, not the QRG.

:O :O My bad. In which case let me reply that in fact that list is the Asian version, so you'll also notice the Auto Union, Chapparals, Jag XJR-9 etc. aren't there either.

I just used the used car classifieds section on your list, I had no idea it was so detailed. I'm blown away.
