All my cars gone!!!

I was closing in on day 1389 where the black beauties show up again and wanted to get the last 2 that I didn't have.

Just before I decided to do a backup of my savegame to my other memorycard. So I changed the cards and saved the game to the other card also. Then I changed back to my first memorycard again and went in to the wheelshop and bought a few new wheels fpr my Suzuki GSX-R 4 to get the last days to pass and the black cars to appear in the used car section. When I went back to my home to see what day it was i noticed that all cars but the GSX-R 4 where gone!! :(

So I turned off my PS2 and changed the memorycards again only to see the the cars are gone there to!!!

So now I have 2 savegames with empty garages :mad: :mad: :mad:

Has anyone else experienced this?
 
I have all silver on most of the licence tests and had gotten all prize cars for it but now they are gone.

Is there a way to win them again???
(I will really miss the GT-R concept car if there isnt....)
 
Did you turn off the PS2 before you changed memory cards?

There you go then. If you do that, you lose all the cars except the one you are using at the time. It's a known bug.

To backup your save, you must use the PS2 memory manager thingy or a max drive.
 
Ok...obviously in the future you know that if you want to backup a game save onto another memory card you should do it through the PS2 Browser (i.e. start the PS2 without a disc in the drive), rather than the method you used this time.

To answer your original question, yes, this has happened to people before. I don't think you can get the cars back from licenses or game completion though, as they're once only cars, so you'll have to start again if you want them.

Ok, too bad I did not know that :dunce:

Guess I will have to buy all cars I want again then
 
You might be as well just starting again as you will have lost cars that you cannot re-win.
