I'm interested 👍 - I'll take the Bentley Speed 8

How long does each round last? a week, two weeks?!?!

Thanks for signing up buddy 👍

There will most likely be 2 weeks between rounds.

Once I get a few signups a race thread will be created for the 1HR 45minutes of Laguna Seca. Then you will have 2 weeks to qualify and run the race

I've got one question: Why isn't the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR car in the GT-car list? Is it too powerfull for the GT class?

I don't have much time to play in a long race series like this one (I'm quite busy this week) but I still like to join in them. If the CLK-GTR would be allowed I would be very happy, since I don't have any of the other cars yet (no time, not interested in them yet + haven't played in months).

Well, if the CLK-GTR could be put in somewhere in here, note this down:

I might consider it, if I can race the 1969 Ford GT40...I don't really care if I lose.

I like the 2 weeks between rounds, that gives lots of time for the racing.

One more thing, won't the faster cars finish the 200 miles of Laguna before 1h 45 minutes?

Well, I don't know what the average laptime is on Laguna seca with stock LMP's/Gt cars (haven't raced on it since the GT3 version of this endurance), but I think you don't have to worry about that.

Edit: I do have a Max Drive btw (didn't want to make another post ;p)

Edit 2: Yeah, I don't know if I enter every race either (in WRS I only submitted a time in week 8)

This looks like more for me to do. :) As I always ask before every OLR comp I enter, is it mandatory to race, and do I have to submit a replay? I do plan on getting a replay device in the future, or a digital camera, but I don't have either atm.

If so, I'll run in the GT class, driving the #75 Pagani Zonda. 👍 I love that car.

👍👍 I'm in!

I like the setup, and I can see you listened well to input on it :p well done with it. I'm sure it'll be great fun to run in!

I know I mentioned this in the previous LMES Race One thread, but are we allowed to drive LMP and GT class or must we only take one or the other? Just a question, I'd quite enjoy trying my hand at both!

I'm sure I'll enjoy racing alongside you Mulsanne :), after the Suzuka 1000 was snatched away from me by Midlands Electricity :yuck:

I read in the LMES thread that you had plans to use B-spec as well. I never use b-spec (I want to do the game by myself), so I have 0 b-spec points which means that I have a disadvantage.

Not really, because since you don't use B-Spec you have an advantage over someone who does. Even with max B-Spec points, it would be quite a lot slower a lap then you could do.

lol, no I didn't mean that ;)

I mean that I got a disadvantage when everyone is required to use b-spec (so me as well), since most of you have raced some races with B-spec. Ofcourse I would be faster than a B-spec guy ;)

Sjenk, you don't need to worry as with the new rules (unless I'm dyslexic) you can use all A-Spec if you like! ;) so you can beat Bob all the time and not need to let him in your car!

Hey guys.

i think i'll join the number 85 GT-R Concept LM for the TEAM NISSAN , if you don't mind.

cheers.

If you really want to race the Ford GT40 1969 thats no problem, I will create an independent class. You can pick any car you like besides the Group C or Formula 1 cars. You can race in the races and will be scored, you may even win, but you can only compete in the Independent class points championship

As for the 1hr 45 minutes, I b-speced the race in a Audi R8, and it completed the race in 2 hrs 4 minutes. You would have to drive over 10 seconds a lap faster than it to finish the race before 1hr 45minutes. Thats lap times of under 1:10. Theres no way the race pace will be that fast.

It is not mandatory to race every event, but if you want to compete for the overall points championship you should. No replay submitting will be required, but your race time at certain points of the race will be required. I will use this to see if anybody is cheating. And if anybody here is a cheater, I really pity you because you will fail in life.

Its great to have you and Mulsanne aboard. So many big names

As for driving LMP and GT the answer is YES! You can drive both. Only 1 LMP and one GT, not 2 LMP or 2 GT cars. If the cars fill up I will add some extra spots

I will create the race thread Sunday and final times etc will be due 14 days later.

Also the Viper and Corvette are so underpowered (which is a shame) I've considered making more spots available for the other GT cars

The Audis are filled up...but I'm not a punk so I'll make vehicles unlimited so everybody can drive the ride of their choice

As for the Corvettes the ts020lm has a #3 on the side so I just made up a number for the Vette...I just got lazy

Welcome aboard 👍

edit: Just a warning, the Corvette and Dodge Vipers are underpowered compared to their GT counterparts. So when we go to Lemans and Fuji you will really struggle

Just a small suggestion: You said that the cars will be only counted in their own class, but isn't it an idea to make an overall class as well where everyone will be part of? Ok, it isn't very useful due to power differences, but it can be nice if some LMP's don't enter, or that an LMP driver has a very bad day or something like that ;)

Edit: Ok, I have some more questions:
1: Will there be a replay available/savable if you quit the race before finishing it? Like I told earlier I haven't played in months and right now I'm still busy.
2: If the replay can be saved: Are you NTSC or PAL? I've got a max replay and I can give you the file if necessary (I just feel better when I do ;p)

YES! We can drive LMP and GT! Thankyouthankyouthankyou Earth, now I can drive an R8 and a Skyline!

And, it looks like two members of the Skyline Squadron have joined from my little nudge to them, 👍👍 to them!

Earth, I would like to take
Team Nissan -- Nissan GT-R Concept LM #82

However, if at all possible I'd like to become an independant team and race in the GT-R Concept LM, but under the team name ''The Skyline Squadron'', and if Electric and Smuttney want to join me (which I'm sure they will :)) they can!

EDIT -
Earth

Cheers. Woohoo, I'm a big name :dopey:

DE

Yeah, but if that happens my ass will get beaten, that car is way off pace when the LMP's aren't driven by the CPU ;) I was able though to win the GTWC in that car, so it has potential, but not enough imo (even the Toyota 7 is better than the CLK-GTR).

I agree, the CLK-GTR is far too quick for the GT-Class but not quite on the pace with the new LMPs. I think it stands best independant ;)

DE

Right now I'm re-thinking about my car... Maybe I'm going to race with the Toyota 7 (if it's legal), because I like that car more than the CLK-GTR.

The only problem is that I won't be able to put decent times at La Sarthe and the Nurburgring, because it contains very long straights and the maximum speed of the Toyota 7 is only 335 km. It is allowed to have 2 cars, but only if they are in 2 different classes.

Does that mean I can choose a GT car as my 2nd car? If so, I want the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II in these 2 races.

This means the following:
Name: Sjenk

Cars:
Toyota 7 - Independant class (or LMP class, but it's not an LMP)
Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II - GT class

If you want it you may delete the CLK-GTR from the entry list ;)

Than I have some questions:
1: Is it allowed to drive 1 car per event? Or do you have to drive both cars if you enter a race? (I doubt that, but still, better to ask than not to ask)

2: This is a stock series right? Does that mean that you're NOT allowed to change gear settings and stuff like that as well? I don't change one bit of my car, except the tyres.

I'm annoying heh? :sly:

I will keep track of 4 point standings, LMP, GT, Independent, and Overall 👍

They will all use the same point system

I dont have any fancy computer equipment so no replays will be required, but if you can save do so, however, there will be strict rules on recording your time/lap count at specific intervals in the race, and the top drivers may be asked to hand over there setups and other crucial information which will be valuable in finding a cheat.

If any of you guys want your own team name by all means ask for it

Independant is considered a class so you can run GT and Indpendent.

You can drive only one car per event if you want but if you want to compete for the class championship in both classes it is wise to put a time in for both. Or you could focus on the GT Championship and run another car sparingly, it's up to you.

Stock series as in stock horsepower. You can change gears, tires, suspension whatever. Just no turbos or nos.

As for the Toyota 7 I just recently acquired that car and will have to see what it's performance is

I personally hope the Toyota 7 will be just fast enough to be in the LMP class, because if it can be used there, I'm in a class with less differences than the Independent class (I doubt it that the GT40 '69 will be faster than my Toyota 7 :P)

Maybe it's an idea to put an behind my car (and other cars) that are really 100% stock. Except for tires and Oil Change you're not allowed to buy upgrades if you have that behind your car. Is that an idea? Maybe I'll be the only one who will have it, but still, other people can see then that the car is fully stock ;)

Edit: My Ford car number is the same as yours ;p

Edit 2: Hmm, never said what my car numbers would be:
Toyota 7 -> #7 :p
Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II -> #59
