Despite expectations that this would be the least eventful of the E3 pre-conferences, Microsoft's Peter Moore drops the news that Grand Theft Auto IV will be on Xbox 360. Rockstar and Microsoft have teamed up to do exclusive episodic content in the GTA gameworld for the 360. Slated to release October 16, 2007 in North America, October 19 in Europe.

Well this is a surprise.
 
360 and PS3. But the 360 will have exclusive downloadable content. The PS3 may get different downloadable content.
It's certainly in Rockstars interest to knock theire game out on two platforms and make as much money as quickly as possible, considering how expensive next-gen games are to make.
What is surprising is it came out of the blue. Have to wait more than a year though.www.gamespt.com
 
...Well, kool I guess. I've pretty much lost interest in GTA, but I am interested in seeing what will happen with the franchise on a next-gen system...
