I'll try. Qual won't be a problem. Time to test race strategies will probably be, and I'll be able to race once, but maybe I'll ask some help to your teammate...:sly:

Are the green painted bits of tarmac behind the rumbles in the final chicane legal? (see photo)


I think I might dip the right front tyre 100% into it for a split second.

Advice please?

2 wheels on track at all times
Rumble strips are part of the track

So you need a minimum of 2 wheels on the rumble. :)

Doesn't really matter anyway, knocked .8 off that lap and beat my goal.

Bttw,there is no problem as I see.I didn't cut this curve (it's called Casio :dopey: ) so much,but I had some problem just after leaving the Degner-curve.My car drifted to the right rumble strips and only left two wheels on it.Then I watched the replay 3-4 times and everything seems good.Two wheels left on the rumble strips which are part of the track so everything is cool.:sly:
I have no device to share with you my replays but I feeel I MUST play clean to keep my reliability here in JGTC.
Wish I had some possibility to put my replays to everyone who interested about them...
 
Yeah mate! That photo was really just to show the green bits I was talking about.
It was really difficult to catch the front right wheel being in the green, so I gave up trying to get a photo of it, and just beat the lap! :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that I plan to compete in this round. Work has settled down a little.

Already have a good time. Think I can take .2 or .3 out of this time, but probably won't have time to do it. Have a GT4 tournament site to build, lots of RL work and not much time.
 
I'm BACK! Kinda. I'll go do some racing right now... Never been great at this track, so who knows what'll happen... I'll get something decent enough though hopefully.

Very slow time submitted, what with the added weight ,loss of HP, plus the fact I only had 30 minutes to put into it. Having a family reunion, so I have 20 relatives from around the country in town for a week...aaaarrrggggg! Now I understand why we don't all live in the same area!!

Sorry EV4L, RL drama got in the way this week in a big sense. I just didn't have time to put in a run for qualy :irked: Will definitely be in the race as always, but I'm afraid no qualy time for me :(

Forgot the change in deadline for qualifying, I was still stuck in last season's format. I thought I still had 24 hours to submit.

For the information of all competitors, I had a 1'48.5. Looks like I might have nabbed 3rd on the grid.

Sorry ev4l, for contributing to the terrible turnout. :guilty:
 
Woo HOO! I was faster than SOMEONE!

Looks like a long uphill battle for the race though if I'm going to be two and a half seconds behind the leader's laps!!

Heck, I was only a second slower than pole last week...

I guess that's what -9% vs +10 and asthma will get ya.

Hopefully I can get some tire stint runs in soon.

p.s. ejr, figured you'd have been higher up than that with that lap, but the top of the charts are SMOKIN'. Three more points for the Ape Squad though!
 
SHigSpeed, the really sad thing is that the weight penalty system is now fawked. If we take your case, you're at +10% weight. That weight was gained when the entrants list was longer, hence the heavier penalty system in relation with the number of entrants. Back then a win was hitting harder, +5% weight right away. Now on a 6-7 car field it's a +3%. To loose the weight it's also the same, you finish last it's only a -3%. The weight gained and lost of all the quitters goes to a total waste and destroys the balance that such a system was suppose to bring. The drivers winning now are rewarded with the same amount of pts, but only +3% weight added. So if you look at it, the drivers who waited until now to perform will have an advantage. If you're at -8% right now you're good to win like 3 in a row no problem before the weight penalty system really slows you down.

So all this to say, people just don't understand the concept of commitment. You lay the rules clean and simple in front of them on a full-time and part-time system and yet a huge number won't respect their promise. Seems like more and more we live in a world where honor to your words is worth nothing more than garbage. Shame.
 
Good points there eats! Never really thought of it that way. OTOH, I've got nearly twice as many points as the lightweight sandbaggers so it's gonna take more than a couple of wins to knock me (of fasj) off the top. Since there are fewer entrants, that means even though I'm dog slow, I'm not going to lose many points to the lightweights.

I love the series though. Hope R3 starts up soon after R2 finishes up, and hopefully we can find fresh meat to fill (and keep filled) the grid.

Wow, what happened to everyone in GT500? My apologies again Eats, work and my private life are in turmoil at the moment. Will be in for the race as I said 👍

Congrats to the podium finishers in both classes...and to the other 2 in GT500 :lol:
 
Sorry for not Q-time, i'm moving this weekend and can't find my memory card or my GT4 disc (in the same case). I'll be unpacked for the race though, and i think i would have started second. oh well.
 
w00h00! Back in the game. I looked at everyone's settings, and figured Ric would give me some sort of fight... I might've been able to match his time, but not without spending a lot of time on it. I went until I got something that I felt was decently fast and left it at that considering I figured it'd be good for two points somehow. Then I sat down at the race for a bit, and started hating the AI... Gotta do some tire testing, then I'll start messing with the AI, trying to find a way around'm.
