Hey my "Picture Fight!" title stuck!!! DAS IST DER ROXORZZZ!!!!!!11!1!

...Leftlane news did a short story on the same thing a while ago, but I wasn't sure if anyone (besides Poverty and I) would have been interested.

I'd say the later photos that have a look closer to the A3 and A4 seems more likely. The top model is just awkward looking with the oval grille, kinda like an over-stretched VW Polo. BTW; Is the A1 supposed to be based on the Polo or the Fox?

What exactly is a "Picture Fight"?

The title "Picture Fight" developed after I did a thread about the various VW Corrado/Scirroco concept illustrations published by the various German automotive magazines a few months back.

Usually one of us will post a bunch of the photos, title it a picture fight, and we do as the title says... Debate the different photos, try to assemble what the model may be in our minds.

BTW: Welcome to GTPlanet

Yeah your picture fight name is perfect for threads like this. Maybe you should get the phrase coprywrited or patented or something  👍

It always seems like the German magazines are having quite the picture fight when it comes to these proposed models. Do they have manditory Photoshop classes in grade school? Some of them are done quite well...

Hey, we'll keep you on your toes. The Auto News section is for the most part ran by Poverty and I (not to be arrogant or anything). Keep an eye out for a few of the regulars...

Poverty is usually the Audi/VAG guy, LiveForSpeed (L4S) is the man to talk to about TVRs and other British makes, ///M-Spec and Wolfe2x7 for BMWs, JCE3000GT is your source for Ford stuff, Jim Prower for Mopar things, ExiegeExcel is generally your source for Lotus, and for the most part VIPERGTSR01 and I are the GM guys.

There are plenty of other noteable folks too, including Onikaze, Scaff, Famine, *McLaren*, M5Power and Niky who are full of good information on damn-near everything, etc.

There are a bunch of regulars here to get to know, and we are happy to see another guy on the forums.

w00t, I got honorable mention!

Don't pay attention to me, I'm racist against FWD cars.

As for the A1/A2...wow, those first couple are fugly.

I like to keep things PC. :sly:

I myself think that the blue ones cute and bubly, but perhaps not very audi. Should safe it for VW.

^^^I openly despise :yuck: you for that... but I secretly admire your steadfast resolution to stick to your ethical principles of RWD first, last and only... (errh... in other words, you're cool. :sly: )

Me? I'm glad I got honorable mention. I guess I'm the resident cheap car addict. Yes, that means I'm racist for FWD cars... for as Onikaze has said, FWD is most suited to cheap cars... merely because it's best suited to small cars... small, but nippy cars, I might add.

Speaking of small cars, that blue one has Skoda written all over it. It would sell well, but it just isn't Audi. The red one is just too... optimistic... too Alfa.

It may look like this:

But the schnoz is too pretty. No way is anything that good looking going on a new Audi. It might end up with this one:

Or something even more mainstream derivative.

I'll take the blue cars rear with the silver cars front, thank you.
Audi sure as hell better price this better than they priced the A1. $15,000 would be perfect. Any higher and the Golf V would kill any chance of it seeing a U.S. release.

I'm a GM nut too, and M5 Power seems to be in love with the terrifying B9 Tribeca (coughFUGLYcough).

But yeah, I seem to have stumbled upon this awesomely massive community of car nuts while in the search for GT3 drift tunes. Awesome. lol

Learned a little about random cars, but still cant drift for crap. ha

It would be interesting to see how the pricing and options on the car would work out, given that the new MKV Rabbit starts just a hair below $15K USD.

Thn America will neer see it. Audi isn't going to be stupid enough to sell that here for that price, becuase they wouldn't sell. Not when the bigger-Golf starts with more crap than you'll ever need at only $15,000. Hell, you can buy a GTi for that price.

It will be interesting to see how it all goes over, but I wouldn't count on it comming to the US unless Audi deems that the market has a need for a premium sub-compact to compete against models like the Fit (jazz) and Versa.

oh yeah I forgot that the a1/2 would be smaller than the rabbit, so id say it would start at 14k, or whatever the mini is selling for right now.

The Mini Cooper starts at a higher price than the VW Rabbit, about $17K USD. Unfortunately we don't get the Mini One, our only choises are the Cooper and Cooper S.

What the hell happened to the one at the top? It looks like a pissed-off robot...
