RULES : Standard online racing rules for clean racing applied when ever possible.

Race :

Minimum of 2 wheels on track
Rumble strips are part of the track
No intentional AI contact
No wall riding
No wall touching
No short cutting
No cheating of any kind


Since this is a semi-enduro format (just under 1h each round) we can’t really ask for 100% error free races. But you must still follow the same basic rules layed down for qualifications and use them when ever possible. Since you are racing with other AI cars little incident may occur and result in an excursion off the track, those are normal racing battles. Passing another car should always be done with caution and fair play just like in real life.

Tires : Racing Soft (really important, the AI must start on RS tires)
Difficulty : Choice from 8 to 10 for both GT500 and GT300

Power : Enter The Given Number
Weight : Enter The Given Number
Top Speed : Your choice
Driving Aids : None
Transmission : Your Choice
Tyre Type : Racing
Front Tires : RH, RM, RS
Rear Tires : RH, RM, RS

*RSH and RSS tires are banned this season, a driver getting caught using any of those will get an automatic disqualification for the event*

Hard to figure the pitting this week. I have 4 different strategies; 4 pit, 5 pit, 6 pit and 7 pit. Theoretically the 6 pit is best...but that's only on paper. Just ran a 6 pit but had 3 spinouts that totaled a pit stop in time. Don't think I'll even try the 4 pit cause I hate running RH tires, and there are 40 laps of them with my 4 pit strategy. The 7 pit ,while the most fun, doesn't look promising. So I guess I just decided it's either 5 or 6 pits, running combo tire compounds. My front right tire goes first with all compounds, but Deep Forest is fairly fast with red tires. I really need to lose some weight, and if quali times are any indication I will.

Man this season is going fast, after this week we're in our last quarter!!!
 
Banker race in! Had one spin into the pit wall (immediate drive through penalty). Otherwise pretty good. Probably can drop another 20 seconds with work...

finally back from my long trip... championship is getting away... but finally i´m a little better with my weight:dopey:

Gonna see if another slightly different strategy works out, might be able to find 20 or so second with it.

Well, I did it. Dropped 20 seconds and I don't see losing much more. Pretty consistent, though I had a couple of frightening hits on the rock wall on the fast left sweeper. No penalty, and yes, it was on! I can see where I lost 3 or 4 seconds, but I think I can't see making that up with consistency. Probably a low return on investment from here...

WIll probably go play in WRS this week now.

tried one this morning before the garage got too hot :(
as I figured, slow as all get out :( ... maybe I'll give it another try in the morning. Got about a min. or so to get before I'm happy with the time
 
I've never been able to gain confidence in my car this season. I've put in 3 races and not one without at least 2 spins of varying severity :irked:

I guess that's what I get for choosing a car with more loose handling and thinking, "this will be a fun challenge". Should've gone with my first choice *sigh*
 
OK!

Didn't quite get the 20 seconds I was after, but did get 11.5.

Fairly confident there is only another 3-5 seconds more I can get. But I am not sure where to find it.
And I have looked behind the fridge too, so don't suggest it Andy! :)

No spins at all, no penalties at all, in the lead before the end of the first lap and apart from the Calibra brushing me as I blew right past him on the exit of the second tunnel, completely WRS clean too!

And that was with the AI set to +10!

Well done Neil, I can get all the AI's on lap 1 at +10, but I know I can't beat you this week. I may give it one more time, but not real confident I can beat my time. If at the first pit my time is not faster then what I already have I stop and turn it off for the day. Don't know about you guys but some days I drive a second a lap faster or slower and I never know which it'll be until I run awhile.

Unfortunately, I finished behind SuperT in last week's WRS!

He had to suffer a power puff girl 'tar for a week too, after I kicked his butt in the Ring combo the wk B4.

The real kick in the ass about it is, he beat me by .231 of a second over 2 laps (I beat him by 10 the week before) and he used my bleeding settings to do so! :grumpy:

Will be back to Frank-Stig next week! :)

Uh, time to start racing... Hopefully I can manage something decent in the next couple of hours...
 
Well... That can only be called a banker. I did probably 20 laps before I settled into a race to submit after learning tire wear and what not. Figured out my strategy and had at it. Was going well up until somewhere between laps 20 and 25, where my tiredness kicked in... Caught up to some lap traffic and wasn't staying far enough back to gain speed for a pass, so I ended up being behind him for a whole lap... Then, I forgot to pit on the lap I wanted to... And then there's the times when I'd slightly let up pressure on the gas button, and the times when I'd swing a little wide on exit from not giving it enough turning... And then later on, I ran almost straight into the damn Calibra and had a penalty... *sigh*

And my fastest lap was on a FULL tank of gas, third lap. How sad is that. I definitely didn't like where I was hitting the lap traffic in this race. Ruined my fastest lap... :( Time being submitted soon.

Only made major 1 error, but it cost me loads of time. I was on dead rear tyres at the end of one of my stints, and spun it on the exit of the last corner. Managed to keep it off the wall but I span past the pit entry so I had to drive back. The lap was 15 seconds slower then my usual in-lap. Then I got stuck behind the Camero which cost me 5 seconds on one lap, then I pitted and I lost another 5 behind him when I caught up to him again!
 
I managed a 59.07.720 I think it was... 6 pit stops, first and last stints on RS/RS tires, middle stints on RM/RS tires. Had issues with traffic, and missed a pit stop and managed to go around one more lap without too much trouble.

Almost WRS clean apart from the Calibra rubbing me on the exit of the second tunnel as I blasted past on shear inertia. I think I drifted wide on the second from last corner exit twice (b4 the kink) but kept it off the wall and BTTW.

Very happy with this race, especially after seeing what Kyle has said. Maybe I shouldn't be? I am not looking forward to Fuji at all, and should maybe have sandbagged to loose some more weight instead of doing my best.

But hey, that's just not me!
I can't do it, it almost seems like cheating (not that I am accusing anyone of cheating you understand)
Ah well, two weeks of torture coming up!
