Rumble strips are legal, aren't they? As in two wheels on the rumble and two wheels in the dirt is ok? Or is that a no no? Will sit down for a short stint here in a bit. Will probably have a good few other sessions, or at least one longer decent one, as I'm clueless when it comes to this track so far...

This track suxx ! Won't be a good quali for sure.
Yeah... I have to agree with you there.

Anyway, we all have to deal with it, so... Not looking forward to racing around a bunch of blind corners/hills with unmarked braking zones though, for sure.

Ya know, I thought that this track sucked as well, but a WRS week on it changed my mind. Not as bad as I feared. The hardest part was figuring out the braking points...

Still, I haven't run at all yet.

I have to agree, with all of the blind corners, un-marked braking points, coupled with very little rubber layed down to help either, it's a difficult track to learn.

I have done 15 laps so far, with the weight and power, and I am no-where near to getting a handle on it. Almost every lap, I go off in a minor way, or hit the brakes too early and screw-up the corner.

It's gonna take a while.

Yes, two wheels on rumble = ok since the other 2 are on the track
Yes, two wheels on the grass = ok since the other 2 are on the track

This track is hard, 1h enduro is not a piece of cake! :sly:

Lol, you beat around the bush! Two wheels on the rumble with the other two in the grass, at the same time... So the farthest in wheels are on the rumbles, nothing on the actual road part... Thanks for updating the results btw, looks like a podium's almost impossible for me to get after missing those few races and qualifiers... Oh well.

Seems I'm in the same boat as the rest.... that's spelled SLOW ! LOL
I've never run the GT course ... been running with the RM's on just to get a feel of how to get around this course. I don't have many laps in, I'm also a Lllooonnnggg way away from the established pole :nervous: all I can say is that I'll do what I can :yuck:

ran half a dozen laps and pulled well over a second off the qualifying record, although, i think everyone will beat the old record this week... qualifying time SUBMITTED...

:nervous: Damn. I'm way slow then. And I don't have much time to play before I leave! I'm going to canada tomorrow, and have to work at work and then on my car until then... Don't have a clean, nor decent lap to submit yet... And I'm not as fast as the previous qualifying hot lap either. Oye. Will probably be able to squeeze in another half an hour to an hour, and hopefully I can come to with this track in that amount of time.

I am way down on the lap record this week, and don't see where I am messing it up.
May be time to shoot Brad a PM!

Neil

Like you guys, I'm also well off the pace. I don't know where all the time is. I'm baffaled.

Also,

Has anyone else noticed that there are absolutely no T-times on this course what-so-ever.

Most unusual, it makes it difficult to judge pace.

Neil

Hopefully I'll have my PS2 back tomorrow so I can get a quali in before the deadline. I guarantee dead last for me this week and next, I've never gotten the feel for this course and doubt I will in one day.

BTW Andy, Belkin do a very good line in surge-strips with $20,000 surge/lightning insurance as std.

All my important electricals are connected through them to avoid the same problems you have had mate.

Neil

Guys, record pole position lap might have been bull**** back in the days. Rob23 submitted a stupid fast qualif lap and then a retarded fast race time crushing everyone by 1-2 mins and then disappeared from the forum when I asked for clarification.

So the second fastest qualif lap was 1'34.413 for ZeratulSG in the Amemiya RX-7.

Thanks for the info Eats.

Was starting to get worried there for an hour or two!

Seriously. That sounds much better. Still not there yet though, will sit down in a couple minutes for my final session though, leaving for my road trip tomorrow and still have things to do to prepare... 👍

Not even CLOSE...
Hour in, bleh...

p.s. What were the specs of hOt's Xanavi NISMO when he took that pole? Wait, maybe I don't want to know....

I think Robs time could be legit. I just ran with Neil's car and I'm not that far away considering I ran at +5 weight and he had none.

...and less power (Amemiya: 319bhp in S2 vs. 306bhp in S0)...so it will be easier to achieve that time this season.

Didn't get to run last night. Just did a quick 10 minutes before I head off. No one's said that two on the rumble and two in the grass is illegal, and it isn't in the WRS, so therefore, it's clean in my opinion. And if it's not, I'm going to be pissed, because I'm emailing it right now, and leaving for Canada. Peace!

1155/319 = 3.6kg per HP
1097*/309 = 3.55kg per HP

His car still has a better power-to-weight ratio. That small difference may not make up difference that I'm behind, but my lap still had time to be made up too.

*I don't have the RE's weight on me, I just subtracted -5% from the other one, I don't know if that's exactly correct.

Yeah Brad, you got it right 1155(+5) & 319.
