Because of our recent software upgrade, posting a message via Quick Reply reported it as being a duplicate. Because this feature is so frequently used, I decided to temporarily disable it to prevent confusion for users who may not be aware of the upgrade and the problems it has brought along with it. So, for now, just post the old-fashioned way with the "Post Reply" or "Quote" buttons. Quick Reply should be back in a day or two. Sorry for the inconvenience! :nervous:

You can tell how much I use the feature. I just came here to report the problem (then saw this thread), and to top it off I scrolled to the bottom of the page to reply...

:dunce:

I didn't have a single problem with the quick reply box. :dunce:

Retset is my testing account (tester spelled backwards). 10 hours and a lot of hard work later, Quick Reply returns. :) Stay tuned for a full-rundown of the new features tomorrow.

This is just a test post.

Yes, another test post!

Oh I love this multi-quote feature! Thanks for the hard work you put in to get Quick Reply back. Appreciated. 👍

Because posting this with quick reply saved me 10 seconds. For my 2100-ish posts, that's 21,000 seconds. I'll use that extra 5.5 hours to watch TV. Do you see now why we like quick post?

How do you work this multi quote?
Yeah - I was trying to figure this out on another forum the other day:

You select the posts you want quoted, by clicking the little green button next to the "Quote" button, then hit the Quote button on any post, and you'll see all of the quotes. :) What I didn't realise at the time is that it doesn't add the quotes to the Quick Reply box, so you have to hit Quote for it to open a new page and for them to appear (unless I'm proven wrong?).

I don't see the point in having quick reply at all.
Why? It's the best thing since sliced bread. ;)

Hmm, I see new buttons and style...:)

I'm excited.

I like the Multiquote feature :)
Jordan, this feature pwns. And thanks for bringing the Quick Reply box back. 👍

EDIT: However, I see a "Thanks for posting! blah blah blah" message after I make my post, using the normal reply method. Is that normal? And, is it possible that you can put the basic message editing options (bold, color, italics, etc) in the Quick Reply box?

Just use ctrl+b,i,u,l,c,r for the bold, italic, underline, leftalign, centre, rightalign commands, and then just manually put in the colours.

They work with my PC, I just highlight the text I want to change and press ctrl + b for BOLD, ctrl + u for UNDERLINED and ctrl + i for ITALICS.

Well, maybe I'm jacked up. Special characters on the PC never work for me, yet they work on my mac, and the ctrl b, u, and i crap never work on here. Oh well.
