Interest Check: National Driver Thread

After witnessing and participating in the highly successful National Car threads started by YSSMAN I thought I'd steal the idea and apply it as a National Driver series. It would work in exactly the same way as YSSMAN's threads currently work. A short time would be spent allowing members to nominate any drivers they choose from the country of the week. All drivers nominated in this first portion will then be entered into a poll and members will be allowed to vote for their favourite driver. After this has been completed a select few of the most popular drivers will go into the final voting where members again select their choice. The winning driver from each country will go into a final poll when all nations have been considered and GTP's favourite driver of all time will be voted for.

Any driver is eligible for entry. Dead or alive, past or present, any form of racing.

So, is there a demand for this, people?
 
It's a good idea, but I can see a large amount of problems coming if we got to a U.S. one and German one (which would be anyone against Mario Andretti and anyone against Schuey). And naturally there would be more threads to worry about. A good idea though, nonetheless.
 
Sounds like a good idea.

Go for it.

Walter Rohl is a better all round driver than Schuey in my book and I would love the chance to argue the point.

Overall it sounds like a great idea.
