It's been about 3 years since we last had a snow like this one. The show was to deep for my snow blower in most spots. The average depth of the snow was 24 inches, but I did have drifts of up to 54 inches!!! The dogs had some big time fun and we even got the cat in on the action. It sure is nice to have a snow day in the middle of the week. Even with the snow blower it took me 3 hours to dig out. I LOVE living in colorado!:D

EDIT:Guess what?!?....its snowing here again! thats the third storm in just a few weeks. I could posts more pics of the snow pilling up but instead how about you hate me some after looking at my hawaii vacation pics. What a difference a plane ride makes.

try living in england., we get the odd brown slush every year

That's HILARIOUS. I could hardly fathom being in snow that deep. I love the animal pictures.

Also, what do you do about those huge blocks of ice/snow on your roof and the trees? Perhaps you should chip away at it so it doesn't crush someone or thing when it falls.

That's so awesome! Brilliant action shot with the cat aswell!

Fingers crossed it'll snow heavy here in February 👍

Man, you live in Colorado and you're getting that excited about a little dump? I guess I thought too much of Colorado snow.

Up here we've only gotten 30cm this season, and on the 17th this year it was 12 degrees, last year on the 17th we got a good 3 feet dump. At least there's still manmade up in the hills, so I can ride whenever I want.

Lucky sonofagun. :grumpy: Its a week before Christmas here and its 50 degrees Farenheit. :grumpy:

I am completely floored that with only a few days to Christmas, North Dakota has absolutely no snow whatsoever. I have been living here for 22 years and have never seen this. Now I'm waiting for the colossal dump we are due.

Yes, I do know the possible repercussions of my last sentence.

Just leave them alone. You can use a roof scraper, but I don't like them due to the possible damage to the shingles. One year, I brought a little snow thrower up on my moms roof to get the snow off. Neighbors thought I was a bit nuts. :D

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain...(Cincinnati area, even bits of flooding!)

So Cincinnatti winters have been giving up on you lately? I guess 40 miles wouldn't make that big of a difference, but I'm still sitting wet on my ass here in Dayton.

Oh, hush. You can't even tell there's seasons here.

Well, here you can. It's been a bit overcast for the past few days, but it's so nice and cool and breezy.

I've only seen snow once: when the bible-belt got that blizzard last year and I went to Arkansas.

You guys are lucky. We're getting rain here in CT for X-Mas.

But now I have a question...

Since there won't be any snow in the winter here really, does this mean there won't ' really ' be a summer? As in scorching hot humdity and heat?

The good thing about Colorado is that the sun will be out soon and the BIG melt will be on. It will fall off tomorrow by itself, and there isn't anything below that to get damaged. That snow drift hanging off the roof was about 30"

That isn't alot of snow for the mountains, but here in the metro area that is alot. It hasn't been snowing here like it used to.

It will be near 50 on Christmas day here.

Hahaha! That's fantastic

Did that much fall overnight?

That took about 36 hours to pile up. We did see the sun come out this afternoon.

I'm jealous. I live up north in Washington state, as we use to get snow like that from time to time, but recently its just been moderate snow, and then it all melts a few days later. Use to be snowed in November and stayed till like March or something.

Stupid mild winters :(

Love the pic with the cat, its an awesome shot!

That was one of the few times the cat has ever been outside. Image what an 8 inch tall cat looks like landing in about 24" of snow.

Nice pics.
I saw it on the news yesterday about the snow. We need that kind of snow in the Austrian Alps!!!!!!!!! Give us some, pls... :)

Nice. I'd love to see snow like that.

Ever thought of investing in a hovercraft?

NO...But we did have people in our neighborhood that got there Quads and snow machines out and were running them up and down the street.

It really doesn't matter if it doesn't snow here this week, I'm gonna be in New Hampshire, the northern half is almost ALWAYS snowy. I'm gonna be doing all kinds of snow type related things. I just hope I wont bust my new braces....:indiff:

It looks suspiciously like the cat was thrown... :odd:
That said, it's a hell of a good action shot :D

I want your life... :dopey:

I really wish we had a winter like that every year! In fact, I bought a snow blower a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't snowed since.

What?!?!?....You think that cat didn't just LEAP out of my arms? I must say that my wife did a bang up job with that picture. That camera is VERY picky about movement and the digital image turning out to be blurry.

Thats only the second time that it has been working this year. Last year, we didn't have a snow worth getting it out of the shed.

:p

There's some sort of comment there about your wife and bang-up jobs involving photos, but I'll leave it for someone else to take :sly:

Here in New Jersey we have had snow 3+ feet before. Sadly this year there is not even a hint of now. It is 61 degrees out side :(.

My computer just rebooted because of a harsh rainstorm that passed over my house and was gone in about 3 minutes.
