WELCOME TO THE ARCADE F1 CHALLANGE​

A FOUR WEEK, FOUR RACE SERIES. RACES TO BE HELD IN ARCADE MODE.
TRACKS WILL BE FROM THE ORIGINAL CIRCUITS ONLY AND I WILL START A POLL
SO EVERYONE CAN VOTE FOR THE ONES THEY MOST LIKE TO VISIT.

ALL RACES WILL BE DRIVEN IN AN F1(ANY COLOR) WITH MINIMUM WEIGHT.
I WILL DECIDE ON POWER SETINGS AND TIRE SELECTIONS FOR EACH TRACK.

STANDARD OLR RULES WILL APPLY, PAVEMENT BEYOND RUMBLES WILL BE ALLOWED.
REPLAY VERIFICATION MAY BE REQUESTED BUT THIS SHOULD BE A FRIENDLY EVENT.

THERE WILL BE A WEEKLY LEADER BOARD WITH POINTS AWARDED
AND A SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS BOARD.​

Thanks Kelly :) I just started messing around with the F1 myself, after watching some of holl01's vids.

Hope to see some more participants soon, will see... Brought to my attention is track selection, I wanted to run original circuits only but if you guys want something else let me know.

Should I start the track poll yet or waite for some more drivers? We need a few more I would think to make it fun.

Yeah, does look good. I’ll give this a go. I always love driving F1 cars. ;)
 
I was thinking Apricot Hill and Grand Valley as well. I will race any smooth track with the F1. But I'll race whatever is chosen here, I need an excuse to take those cars out. I think WRS has run one F1 combo since I started, so I am itching for another shot...

Now that I think of it there's plenty of originals. Midfield and High Speed ring too... And then the City courses...
 
Still hoping for some more drivers but I'll start the track poll now as to move things along. 👍

EDIT: Are there restirctions on TCS & ASM?
 
I put you down LOON 👍, can't commit to Deep Forest, as the vote will decide. I'll detail the rules for each race as we go, however I don't think I'll restrict TCS or ASM. Probably as a standard: tcs, asm, tranny, and top speed/Drivers choice.
 
Very cool, I just wanted to know because the F1 spins tires alot if your not careful, so I'll probably be driving with just TCS.

Hi tinus, didn't see your post until now for some reason :dopey: . If your planning on racing at gtp I would suggest the purchase of a max drive. I bought an a.r. max for like $40 some time ago and it's well worth it. No need to make vids as we all would rather have the replay file itself. Your more than welcome to participate in this challange, if your times are questioned (which I doubt) perhaps you'll have a replay device by then or be more motivated to do so. :)

Post here again and I'll add you to the driver list. Welcome to gtp by the way 👍
 
ok, maybe an option
I do have an digital vid cam
but...if I burn it on my DVD recorder...it makes dvd's that are only readable in that recorder
not in others, pretty stupid
maybe I can trasnform data in my comp
but, I am sure I will not be the fastest, I have seen time's here.......
I thought I was fast...nobody never beat me before, in head to head battles

as you can imagine, I was surprised when I saw some added times here

in an earlier post I voted for this:
- Apricot Hill
- Grand Valley

but I don't know how many tracks will be driven
So if there is no poll, but just an counted vote by the topic starter, these are my 2 most favorites
 
I'm kind of curious...

Would the races be WRS style (best lap) or JGTC style (multi-lap race with other F1 cars on the track) or what?
 
Hey Kenny, to keep it simple and have everyone run all the races, I think hot lap will be the norm, maybe a multi lap with tire wear for the finaly.

I'm hoping to get this started tomorrow so the clock is ticking.
