15 Supercars Tested

Hey,

I wanted to know what Supercar was the best so i sat down and made a test. Not only the fastest but the one with best feeling. I might aswell share the info. This is the cars i tested:

2002 Cadillac Cien
- Very good handling, it's not hard to drive even though it has so much power.

2nd 1'18

2002 Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3
- Good handling but it tends to spin when braking from high speed.
2000 Tommy Kaira ZZII
- This a real turbo beast. Very easy to control but that does not take the fun away.
2002 Saleen S7
- This was simply a joy to drive. It oversteers a little but that's controllable.

5th 1'19

2001 Volkswagen W12 Nardo Concept
- This is much like the saleen, it has fantastic balance and oversteers just perfectly to get around tight corners fast.
2005 Ford GT
- Very good road feeling and well balanced. Has it's own will when it comes to braking but it's controllable.

7th 1'20

2003 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
- Very easy to drive which unfortunately makes it boring. There is no road feeling at all.
2003 Audi Le Mans Quattro
- The 4wd setting is really good, feels a little like a rally car. Tends to spin when braking from high speed.

9th 1'22

1992 Jaguar XJ220
- It feels heavy and tends to understeer. Very robust feeling, like it's nailed to the road.
1994 Cizeta V16T
- It's a very calm ride, but still not boring. It feels big though.
1998 Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car
- You can really taste the Racing in this one. Under 400 BHP but the cornering is amazing.
2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10
- It feels big, more of a muscle car. The handling is quiet good even though the cornering is a bit slow.
2002 Spyker C8 Laviolette
- Extremely fun to drive with oversteer and semi-grip.

14th 1'23

1996 RUF CTR2
- This car could be really fast but it has way too much understeer.

15th 1'24

2003 Callaway C12
- It feels heavy and the cornering is slow but the handling is really good.

Incidentally, I recently tried out driving every car around the Nurburgring, aiming for good lap times, so I both got to know the car and did more than two laps with each. Here are the times I got for the same Supercars you posted:

Keep in mind that the Nurburgring is much bumpier than most tracks, so supercars are easy to hate while driving it, especially the ones with very stiff suspensions. Out of all those, I'd have to say the greatest joys to drive were the SLR McLaren and the Cizeta, but I'm biased with the Moroder, since I love it.

You sure? I drive this car stock on N1's a lot and I always slide wide through corners. If you try to keep the back from coming out you'll just be slower. In fact I'd say this car oversteers far more than most cars but that's because the rear weight distribution carries inertia through corners.
EDIT: Wow I'm retarded, I thought you said CTR Yellowbird. I don't remember much from driving the CTR2.

I love the RR Rufs! the BTR is my favourite :D 👍
 
Cizeta oversteer = fun.

And yeah, I love the old school RUFs too, but the CTR2 requires.... hmmm... special treatment.

I'm in a tough spot now, I've fully tuned my RUF GTR 2000 (596hp) and I've bought the Callaway C12 and the Dodge Viper SVT and neither are better than my RUF. However, my RUF maxes at 215, while the two race cars have a longer gear ratio.
 
I refuse to touch the Cadillac Cien. I hate driving it for a reason i can't quite put my finger on. I think i just find its handling not quite to my liking. The Ford Gt '05 is probably my personal favourite of the supercars. I think i find the bigger cars more difficult to drive for some reason.

The Cien as well as the Saleen and the Cizeta suffer from to much oversteer for my liking.

I know what you mean, the Cadillac doesn't feel like a car. I don't know what it feels like but i know what your point is. The Ford GT is like a gocart! It's very fun to drive! :D
 
Err... no. A RUF is a porsche copy basically, under Germany. Very fast cars. I think the CTR is faster than the GTR but I haven't tested yet.

I believe the GTR is around 120 000 credit.

That's only a nickname. Half the car names in GT4 couldn't be more innacurate anyway.

Really? So I'm sure you wouldn't say that without having a list of those 360 car names in GT4 that apparently couldn't be more inaccurate. Please post that list if that is the case.

Otherwise, perhaps it might be best to not post such blatantly inaccurate, and grossly exaggerated facts... you might mislead some unsuspecting readers into believing what you said is even close to being true.

On the CTR2 you can tune-out some of the understeer simply by using a harder tire on the rears. I usually run it racing hards on the front and super hards on the rear. Amazingly the car is still very stable until you get it above 200 mph, where it starts to get a little twitchy.

It makes the car a little faster since you can actually use some throttle while turning, but overall it still can't touch the Yellowbird on most tracks, at least not in my hands.

It does, however, make the car a *lot* more fun to drive since you can get the rear out nice and easy and then just pull it back in with a little throttle. So, a little faster, but a LOT more joy!

This is a nice topic by the way. Supercars are one my favorite types of cars to drive, so it is always nice to see someone else's opinion of the various machines.

thanks :) It's cool to see that car's that looks about the same on specs feels so different from each other. I'm really looking forward to do a similar test for GT5 💡

Im a little confused how it can be slow in the corners but handle well. Nice comparison though.

i understand that it is a little confusing... what i meant was that it doesn't oversteer or understeer too much, but it's very slippery to drive, so you have to keep the speed down, but it still feels good.
