Yeah I know we've had 1000's of threads like this but I've never stuck my twopenceworth in, so here goes..

1. Why have headlights for the night races when they don't bleeding work?
2. How come 5 Zonda race cars have to pit when racing clockwise around Rome, but don't have to when racing the same track anticlockwise?
3. Why does it take longer to stop a Zonda Race Car than to stop a supertanker?
4. Who's idea was the Test Track?
5. Who in their right mind would take a Subaru Impreza (even an LM one) to race against a GT-One, 787B etc.? (GT allstars Pro)
6. Why would you pit at the start of the very last lap of a race, even if your tyres were shot?
7. How annoying is it to have to buy the same car to race a series as the one you'll win for completing said series? (Audi TT, Avant Garde)

That's it for now, and before anyone says it, yeah, I know, I'm stupid, okay?
 
The Avant Garde can be won with a non-racing Zonda C12S.

They're for show, and they do work at night, don't they?

Because some turns have greater entrance speeds when doing it in reverse. You aren't going to get the same exact tire wear going around a track both ways.

3. Why does it take longer to stop a Zonda Race Car than to stop a supertanker?

That's an exaggerration.

Because you have terrible pit strategy.

Not that annoying at all actually. It takes very little time to buy a car.

u know i wanna add to this,...i just bought a skyline b/c i all hear is how great these things are, but you know what personally i think my friends 76 ford truck handles better than this thing, and im not talking about the crappy skylines, i bought the best non racing one avalible. And before anyone says anything i did tune it to make it a lil better, but personally i dont think im ever gonna use the thing again.

2. i wondered the same thing...maybe counterclockwise is easier in Rome, which is in the northern hemisphere, because of the Coriolus Effect, which states that everything in the northern hemisphere tends to move counterclockwise. :)

3. Zonda = "rice pudding for brakes"

Had it happen to me once, traded a RX-7 LM of a mates mem card so i could do the R246 enduro, won the race and was awarded....
An RX-7 LM same colour and all:lol: :lol:
 
I think the GT-40 also has "rice pudding" for brakes. God, I hate that car in the game but it's one of THE coolest in real life.
 
Yeh I think Skylines are over-rated bigtime cool cars but understeer followed by snap oversteer mm nice..
 
8. The AI is massively retarded. Noone runs off the road at the same turn every lap.

You don't have to buy an Audi TT or a Zonda. The only two cars you have to buy (especially if you "gold" the license tests) are the TVR Speed 6 and a Mercedes for the one-brand Merc race.
The Audi can be won at one of the first two five-race series in Amatuer.
The Zonda C12S is won at the NA races in Pro.
Remember, "A car won is much sweeter than a car bought".
 
actually the headlights DON'T work....when your driving (3rd person or 1st), the road ahead of you is not lit up at all! why have headlights if you still have to take turns in the dark?

and i fully agree about #7...
It IS a little annoying the fact that you race a series in an Audi TT, only to win, well....an Audi TT...

I mean come on guys, it's kindof MANDITORY that we already had one or else we wouldn't have been able to race!! I guess the flip side to this is with the Audi TT race, you buy (or win) a normal audi TT so that you can compete in that race to get the un-purchasable colors of that car (same goes with elise)
 
Headlights look the best on Laguna Seca to me. I think the Racing GT40 is quite a commendable car, as i ran a 4:13 with it on Complex String with all mods...considering it has about 300bhp less than the JGTC cars, it only did about a 5 second to 4 second slower lap. :)
 
you guys(this is directed to all the whingers) have WAY too much time. i mean, who really cares that headlights dont actually illuminate the road ahead?

and if i recall correctly, racing on SSR5 wet, you can see the lights reflected off the wet road, so therefore the lights do work, they're just extremely subtle. HA! i win! you lose!!!

ps: i know i was talking crap, just shut up

i totally agree with jez. the game has so many annoying parts to it, if it wasn't the best i wouldn't be playing it! :D hehe

yes the ai does suck, but i dont find anything as annoying as the menu system,
"would you like to buy this part?" (click ok)
"are you sure?" (click ok)
"it will cost you money, r u gonna buy it now?" (click ok)
"item bought!" (click ok)
"would you like to have another look at it?" (click ok)
"its nice isn't it?" (click ok)
"would you like to fit it to your car?" (click ok)
"are you sure?" (click ok)
"its been fitted" (click ok)
blah blah blah

and with the outrageously annoying brrrooonnggg! sound every time you click ok! :(

Yeah that sucks too, I forgot about that when I was in a temper last night!

Yes the headlights SHINE but they don't improve visibility, hence they do not WORK. Case closed.

Another ****e car is the Trueno, espesh the Shigeno version.

For the Canadian, a whinger, pronounced 'winjer' is someone who moans and complains about pointless petty things a lot.

IMO the MOST annoying thing is when you're doing the tranny trick:

For those of you that don't know, you push the Final Drive ratio full right, then the AutoGear full left, then the Final Drive ratio back to the desired level.

If you hold down the D-pad "right" and push the left analogue left it moves quicker up the increments. Unfortunately, although this saves time, you get a long, long "ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" noise which irritates the tits off me. So I turn the stereo off... :D

Nightmage, I couldn't agree with you more about the menu system. I think that Polyphony Digital should give you an option to turn that off so it could be like:

(click the Racing Flywheel)
"This part has been added to your car."
(goes right back to menu)
