Hello, GTP.

This is going to be my 326th post, and since the past 324, you know I love the Le Mans enduro more than any other race in the world. Polyphony Digital deserves extreme credit for enduring through getting car after car, track after track, feature after feature, GT4 should be sensational when released. It should be one of the newer classics. It should be as popular as Super Mario Sunshine, even though Super Mario Bros. 3 is possibly the greatest Mario game ever.

Le Mans, France is home to the greatest of all races, the Le Mans 24 Hour race. It combines the Bugatti circuit with the public roads of Le Mans. You have the Mulsanne straight, Indianapolis, Arnage, Tetre Rouge (did I spell correctly?), Maison Blanche, the Porsche Curves, and even the Ford Chicane. Some of the most beautiful, purpose-built GT race cars and race prototypes compete in this event. If Gran Turismo provides Le Mans, would you want the Bugatti circuit, or the Circuit de la Sarthe?

I'll start.

Either way, I'd be happy to have either variation. The Bugatti Circuit, however, doesn't have the pizzazz Le Mans can provide, but keep in mind that about 1/3 of Bugatti is used for the 8-mile/13.6 kilometer Le Mans course. Personally, I want to zoom down the Mulsanne straight (but remember to brake for the two chicanes). However, if you can't have Le Mans, you might have a shot at Bugatti. Bugatti is pretty technical. There is some high speed involved here, but be sure to have some cornering ability to boot. If Bugatti makes it, it's still Le Mans, only you're using the road course and not the road course + public roads.

If you notice, this is a poll question. You can choose between Bugatti, Le Mans, both, or unsure. Alright? So give it a try, GTPlanet!

Very little of the Buggatti circuit is combined with te 24hours circuit.

In an ideal world preferably the circuit de sarthe or even both. But I think they should be able to fit the Buggatti circuit into GT4 if they wanted, whether they do or not is a different question.

Though if they ever were to include the 24hours circuit, I think they'd also have to have bigger grids and fields. I mean come on 6 cars on just the 24hours circuit. Not much point really, apart form being able to drive the circuit.

I love Le Mans too...but when racing 6 cars on La Sarthe...I think it will get pretty boring after a while........But bugatti sound excelent!!👍

I agree about the lack of cars. I see that sometimes now on the courses 1/4 as long as these.

Additionally, I want quantity of tracks. I wouldn't want them to spend all their time working on a couple big tracks if they could spend the same time working on ten or so smaller tracks.

But one or two LARGE courses would be nice, at least to give us a feel for it.

Well, I hark back to Test Drive Le Mans. The PS1 version, as I said, was a bit clumsy to handle and pretty poor. However, it has Le Mans, so it's a winner. Now why did I mention this game? This game has the Le Mans race course, and it's cropped down. A cropped version of a track can still be as good as the long course. Remember Pikes Peak (GT2)? The real Pike's Peak is a 156-turn, 10-15 minute long course. If Le Mans is to be included, this may upset some people, but I think a cropped-down version will work. I say that if you want to put in an 8-mile course like Le Mans, condense it to 4 miles. I mean, keep the Mulsanne-like speeds and all, but you can tell between the two courses, can you? Well?

But if Bugatti was to be put in, that's fine (as long as I remember I'm racing Bugatti and not Le Mans. Sometimes, I accidentally go in the wrong direction, pretending that I'm racing Le Mans instead of Bugatti). The Bugatti circuit still has Le Mans flavor, even if you're restricted to just the main circuit. I still think that Bugatti should still provide all the fun of the Le Mans race that is run in June, just that we'll be hoping for the Le Mans course for GT5. That's why I came up with this topic. I want to investigate two sides and what all of you would want to see in GT4. So in essence, would you want to see a legendary course with a legendary race in keeping with the "history of automobiles" logic, or a legendary course which is a circuit race and not the legendary event? For the most part, Le Mans would be an incredible course to offer, whether the main circuit or the Le Mans enduro course. To be honest, I'd love to zoom down Mulsanne as any pure racing fan would love to do. Carry on, folks.

agree...but Le Mans? no way in the world its gonna be in a GT game aslong as there is only 6cars on track and still I dont think it would be any better with a "short"version of the track because it would be too long to......But that with TD LM I know a much better way of driving around Le Mans with good graphics and 36 cars on track!...wich is F1 Challenge for PC...you should really check it out...the track is already realesed but there will come newer versions and some from special eras....and look at all the up-coming mod´s that all is almost about endurance and GT-prototypes...(currently waiting for the Prototype-C mod)

There are two sides to this, TS020 (which is possibly one of the best Japanese road racing cars EVER).

The GOOD is that I've seen stuff for F1 2000 or whatever, and I have seen mods for it which involve GT Racing and even Le Mans.

The BAD is that my computer does not have the requirements to play it. And I can't concentrate on upgrading because I have school to worry about. But, nice of you to bring it up. So far, the Dreamcast version of Le Mans 24 Hours has had the best reviews, and I think the PS2 is a port of the Dreamcast version. It is also available on PC, but since it is an older game, it probably sells for cheaper. But I think if PD can get with the design team for TDLM/LM24H (Infogrames and Melbourne House), there might be hope in pulling this off. And if Le Mans and the endurance come about, there needs to be class victories. You know, just because you race a GTS Viper and place 3rd overall doesn't mean you lost the race. You won in class. Just a small consideration for PD if they were to go for this idea.

I wish for that too...but then again the 6cars error occurs...like you cant drive like this 2 lmp900/lmpgtp/GT1 2 lmp675/GT2 2 N-GT/GT3....or can you? :odd:
But I think it will take long time before it will happen so Il just have to "satisfy" my self with GT4 and higher...and of course F1C!:D
