Omg. Now I'm ROFLMAO with da poo. Well, I almost fell outta my chair.

I actually did vote. #3. Doesn’t look like it would have changed the outcome though.

Where can I view how many points I got? I tried looking at the snail data but didn’t see anything related to t
In the SNAIL Data thread, first post, is a display of the SNAIL Data google sheet file. At the bottom are links to the various sheets in that file. Since the month summary sheet is recreated every week a static link would have to be reposted every week. It's takes several seconds, or more, for the Google sheet to load in that post.

Just so you and everyone know, a single vote can change everything about the "Interactive" part of SNAIL.

This week, the Ford and kart were tied for most votes. In breaking that tie the Ford left. Should Skills vote had been there on time, another tie would have been created for second most voted for combo, between C2 and C3. I'd have to look but, if memory serves, breaking that tie would have left C2 in its entirety and would've kicked one or the other half of C3 off the island.

Yeah, it seems a little convoluted, our vote tie breaking process. While it can be a wee headache at times, I still find it amusing to watch how it changes vote outcomes.

Now that I think about it more, breaking the second tie would've made a third, with Skills vote there.

JEEZ I just went through it all.

If I'm applying our vote tie breaking process correctly;

Slow day at work.

APRIL 2026 - WEEK #1

Both D1 and D2 maxed out at 8 drivers for the night. That's not terrible. Thanks to all that showed up.

@daddylaw5 - Hope you enjoyed yourself and congrats on your 1st win. You have moved into a tie with me for career number of wins. (I, however, have 425 races under my belt) I tend to post scores early in the week and an annual tabulation at the conclusion of every month.

Snail has lots of cool little spots where you can see historical combos and stats, so feel free to explore the Forum.
Now that you've raced, you can watch your Snail career grow over time using the following link:

Well pooh. I didn’t check the thread yesterday.

Prize C @JamCar0ne

I have to say, that kart race was supposed to be a joke for one week. Even if some of you hate that kart from the bottom of your heart, others had so much fun with it that it keeps it alive week after week. This is now another reason why SNAIL is so amazing; you guys are awesome!

And now for the new track. I started my reflection on how we can bring the three other haters into the cult of the Mighty Kart. I firstly chose a longer track for less laps... that was easy. Then I tried one of the favourite tracks of our friend @Worst_Driver, as a joke, just to try. It appears to be very fun to drive, especially the last corner where you really get the sensation of speed. So, there it goes...

We bring the Mighty Kart to Switzerland on Eiger Nordwand, S02 Late morning. MDLT should be at 1:13.000, so 13 laps.

Now, let's see if the joke really ends now or if it officially becomes one of the best combos of racing that we have had in the past few months!

Slow day at work.
I definitely agree that a single vote can change the entire outcome of the following week's lineup, but if Skills had successfully voted for C3, I agree with him that it wouldn't have changed this week's outcome. That's because the process of removing the votes of the prize winners is done to break ties and nothing else. In other words, removing votes does not create new ties that need to be broken. Think of it as a runoff election (in reverse). Only the top two vote-getters advance to a runoff election. Any other candidate in the race is removed from the ballot so that a winner can be decided between the two candidates who received the most votes in the initial election.

I apologize for not voting on here I thought we did a vote in the lobby after the final race.
No apologies needed. The scorekeeper for the night is supposed to record votes. I, the scorekeeper, had to leave early. I wasn’t able to get a record of the votes in time to meet deadline. I do suggest allowing push notifications from the thread, for when someone posts they have a room open or in case you win a prize. Or in case something like this pops up again. 🙂

I, clearly, do not interpret the below algorithm correctly then.

If there is a tie, we will remove the Prize A winner's vote from the tally. If doing so does not break the tie, we will remove the Prize B winner's vote from the tally. If there is still a tie, we will remove the Prize C winner's vote from the tally. It's unlikely that there would still be a tie after that because it would mean that all three prize winners voted to eliminate the most popular combo of the night. However, if that does happen, we will start removing votes of the remaining division winners, starting with the highest adjusted score and going down from there.

Not SNAIL related but I’m pretty happy to have my Mustang out of storage tonight. 23 years and getting close to 100 000 miles. Still covered in storage dust. Simple durable and easily and cheaply fixable. That era of cars is long gone.
I grew up on Fox bodies and wish I had kept the LX hatch I had in high school. Theyre worth a small fortune these days.

These are mine... and youre def right... not easily or cheaply fixed/maintained at all.

Quite the opposite of cheap to fix and maintain haha

But oh so cool especially the AMG GT. Nice cars !

The kart at Eiger is going to be out of controll with all the hairpins 😂
However the previous combo has been some of the most fun I've had the entire time on SNAIL so I look forward to it.

That was my thought too, and the reason why I would test it, just for fun. But these hairpins were not a problem at all. Of course, you have to be gentle with the gas pedal as same as the other track. But the only sketchy place is the long right uphill banked corner where the kart is a little upset by a small bump in the middle of the acceleration point.

Well... no go for me tonight. Wheel disconnects every 20 seconds when hot. Gotta send it to F'n France for repairs. T598 is garbage. I bought a Fanatec DD Extreme... Ill have it up by next week. Yall have fun...
How do you like your DD Extreme compared to the T598? I have the T598 as well and started having disconnect issues when hot after 3 or 4 months. Following @Oshawa-Joe's advice I spread the prongs at the plug going into the base from the power supply in order to make better contact, and it's been working well again ever since. I moved them with my knife, left one more left, middle one down, and right one more right. So instead of --- more like - . - if that makes sense. I've also put a few things on my rig from 3DRap. The brake pedal elastometer kit to help me feel how hard im pushing the brakes was good. I'd recommend it for any pedal set that's not Load Cell. Speaking of Thrustmaster just released the Raceline LC Pedal Upgrade yesterday I see. SOLD OUT already, of course so mine's not in the mail yet. I also put the Feelings Pro kit from 3DRap on including rumble motors on gas, brake, under the pedal board and under the seat. Plus two fans that match road speed for more immersion. Other than the gas and brake rumbles which i believe help you maintain traction, the rest is just for fun. You have to hook them up to a laptop and run Sim Hub to use them.

Let me start off by saying kudos to the people who picked this week's combo's! This is in my opinion is the best combos Snail has done since I started racing in this league. The Jag at Interlagos is really fun and requires a lot of finesse with the pedals or else that rear end is going to pass the front end, very fun. The kart at the Eiger is going to make for a really good race in division 2. I can see three wide going into the hairpins and some sketchy accelerations out of the that long sweeping uphill turn. The Audi at Monza makes for some great flat out racing, its extremely fast. I am very much looking forward to Sunday!
I also have the T598, I was going also get the load cell upgrade. Question for those with load cells: are they really that much better? I mean like a $179 better? Do they give more consistent, better times or both?

Do they give more consistent, better times or both
Neither. What load cell brake pedals do is give a stiffer, and in some cases customizable, feel to your brake pedal action. This action in no way gives more consistent or better times. Adjustments to the nut behind the wheel is primarily what yields consistency and better lap times. ;)
