🤬 age verification.

That is all.

PSN age verification has rolled out in some countries, despite not being required by law. Soon to be required for all accounts.

I read it as being required to use communication features (messages / party chat) and it looks like they plan to roll it out globally too.

Well I'm not giving them my ID or selfie photo. Since they want a photo, this also means you have to link another device to your account just to get the photo to them. I have a 'few' accounts.. this may be an issue for me.

EDIT: for Top of page

There is also this method.

Mobile phone age verification
How accurate is mobile phone age verification?

This verification relies on matching the information your mobile provider has on file for you. As long as you are the owner of the phone contract and your details match, you’ll be able to confirm your details.
I may have already done this when I re-activated my PSN account and started paying for PSN+ subscription back in Dec. '22.

If I lived in the USA, I'd be more concerned about FLOCK surveillance.
Big brother is certainly growing. It seems every generation trades more and more of privacy for convenience and "security".

Using your phone is still adding another device and who really knows what data it will provide.
Agreed. When you pay for the PSN+ with a credit card, there's that information they get as well. Data mining is inevitable. There are things that can be done to prevent/minimize it, however, walking around in range of cell phones, or any device with a microphone and/or camera, doesn't help much in that effort. Someone is always listening or watching, actively or passively, now.

Who pays for PSN+ with a credit card? I buy the PS gift cards at the grocery store and use those.

We have a non-responsive prize winner this week for Prize C. The car has been frozen (Honda Civic SIR-II (EG) '93), however it is unlikely it would be available for this Sunday's racing. The backup car is the Suzuki Swift Sport Gr4. If you raced in D2 this last weekend, you may suggest a track for Prize C. Your suggestion must be made in this thread. Only 1 suggestion per person, and your post cannot be edited. Suggestion process ends tonight at 11:59pm EST.

@radliffracing @CANOWORMS1 @Soulierxdro @racingchamp30 @Mac1032763
I’m not home right now, I can not suggest a car I’m sorry. Watching fifa finals at a mall.

Good thing I have my id ready.

In all seriousness, there’s absolutely no way I’ll upload my official id on the internet or scan my face. Nope. Not happening. This is a privacy disaster waiting to happen. The scammers must be ecstatic to break into a goverment id database.

On a more positive note, I’ll be on tonight.
And even more positive, I finally found the Mustang’s replacement. Its getting a PPI on Wednesday and I’ll be picking it up this friday !

  4. Cdn_Sweet_Tee ----- voted to eliminate Round 3

  6. Mac1032763 -------- did not submit a vote
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Ford Mustang Gr.3 Road Car (SM) at Watkins Glen International Long Course - S01 Evening (8 laps)
Therefore, the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. @DublDee wins Prize A, and gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Renault R.S.01 '16 (SM) at Autodromo de Interlagos - S02 Late Morning (10 laps)
This means either the car or track will be replaced for next week's line-up. @racingchamp30 is the Prize B winner and they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Dragonwhisky - they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it's confirmed you don't have any penalties.
  • It is recommended you visit SNAIL combo history, along with other data on our car and track history, to review how many times we've raced each car and/or track.
  • Please remember, originality is always appreciated. Although not required, picking cars and tracks we've never raced is a plus.
  • What's more important is, you thoroughly test any combo you are considering, before making it your official selection.
    • For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter, either hard1 or soft2, at any point during a race, even in the draft.

IMPORTANT:
  • When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting.
    • For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98".
    • If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza".
    • Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers.
  • Please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select.
  • For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g.: S01 Afternoon) or it will be set to default.
    • Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines
.

1Hitting the "hard" limit causes the RPMs to "bounce" and reduces torque and speed.
2Hitting the "soft" limit ceases all acceleration potential. Meaning, you're not going to go any faster.

JULY 2026 - WEEK #3 STANDINGS

I'm finding it increasingly difficult in finding proper seat time for the SPEC League practice in recent weeks. And when I do show up on a Sunday, I'm either late or ice-cold due to missing warmup lobby.

But the highlight of my night was a couple intense laps with @DublDee (and @Dragonwhisky not far behind..) including a contact-less pass through the bus stop at the Glen.

Sorry I’m going to retire from snail again for a bit. Not feeling well.
<whisper>Whisky. The kind that isn't spelled with an e.</whisper>

Seriously, Hope you get to feeling better, sooner rather than later too.

Prize B

Freeze Renault R.S.01 '16 (SM)
We're going to take this car somewhere, where its aero can help it stick those SM's to the road. It was almost a year ago we ran this layout.

Prize C - Tokyo Expressway - East Clockwise S06 Midnight. I ran a low 2:00.4xx during my no draft testing just now.
@JamCar0ne

This thing tops out and bounces at 7400+-RPM and leaves 300-400RPMs available in 7th for a possible draft pass down the main straight. If it doesn't bounce the hard limit, it'll be damn close under draft.
We'll see how it works out.
I tried the counterclockwise version and didn't like it at all.
