@KingApex - Welcome to Snail. Happy you followed through with the process. I think if you give Snail a few weeks, it'll grow on you. There's no better place to work on getting faster and learning good race-craft. As the weeks go by, you'll learn the tendencies of the other D2 drivers and be able to measure your progress, not just in terms of wins/losses but in your times, against them.

I've sent you a PSN friend request minutes ago.

I'm not sure I'll be racing tonight but I would suggest you send @bublyman a PSN request (PSN-Ridger23). He tends to host a warm up lobby around 7:00 (EST) on Sunday nights for all Snails to get some laps under their belts.

I'd also suggest you add @radliffracing on PSN also (PSN-radliffracing), as he might be the guy hosting the D2 lobby tonight which should open up at 8:30.

As I mentioned in an earlier message between you and I, a race night consist of 6, 15-minute races. The hope if that you can do them all but if life gets in the way, we'd rather have you on the grid for a little than none at all.

You’re very welcome. I had some free time since my T598 developed a serious case of the disconnects. I was only able to successfully race in the first combo. I’m going to try a few more things to get it to work right consistently and if that doesn’t happen I’m switching brands

The round that received the most elimination votes was:

Therefore, the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. @JamCar0ne wins Prize A, and gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Suzuki Swift Sport Gr.4 (RH) at Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa - S04 Late Morning (9 laps)
This means either the car or track will be replaced for next week's line-up. @VoidChevalier is the Prize B winner and they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Kgffy - they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it's confirmed you don't have any penalties.
  • It is recommended you visit SNAIL combo history, along with other data on our car and track history, to review how many times we've raced each car and/or track.
  • Please remember, originality is always appreciated. Although not required, picking cars and tracks we've never raced is a plus.
  • What's more important is, you thoroughly test any combo you are considering, before making it your official selection.
    • For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter, either hard1 or soft2, at any point during a race, even in the draft.

IMPORTANT:
  • When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting.
    • For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98".
    • If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza".
    • Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers.
  • Please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select.
  • For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g.: S01 Afternoon) or it will be set to default.
    • Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

1Hitting the "hard" limit causes the RPMs to "bounce" and reduces torque and speed.
2Hitting the "soft" limit ceases all acceleration potential. Meaning, you're not going to go any faster.

Decisions, decisions...I'm tempted to give the freeze away, but that doesn't guarantee things will go my way and I'll get to choose what I want to choose, which is truly a bummer cuz God knows when or if this opportunity will be presented to me again.

Here's the updated 2026 Points Standings through July, and it comes with a new name at the very top.

As a group, the SPEC League has hit a total of 40 Drivers this year which isn't bad but the list is populated with as many inactive drivers as active drivers.

If any inactive drivers still come around to visit the chat, I believe you can now hop back in without going through the process of resubmitting a TT. A simple message stating your intention to race is good enough to get you back on the drivers list.
(I hope I'm right on that...)

Edit - I am not correct on that, see 2 message below for proper instructions on re-activation process...

Listen, please don't hate me if this car sucks at Kyoto, but it is my favorite car ever since the first time I saw it in Initial D so many years ago, and this might be my only chance to have the opportunity to make a choice. I dream about having this car in real life one day...but it's probably never gonna happen for a number of reasons.

So, without further ado, the car I'm chosing to replace the Suzuki is: the Mazda RX-7 GT-X (F) '90

Now that drivers are only allowed 1 prize per season and there are 12 prizes per season the chances of winning have gone up considerably. And I personally love prize B, as it's the only one that avoids testing, provided you choose a car or track. But, each to their own.

I'm not seeing this car in the UCD. I have it as I own all Used Cars. Was it an earned car in GT7, so that everyone should have it?

Well, today is only Tuesday. You might get lucky and it will appear in the UCD before the drivers/Grid list is locked in. It could happen. If it does, your nickname might need to be changed.

In the meantime you probably ought to chose a non LCD / UCD limited car.
