With the Grand Départ that occurred 6 hours ago at Circuit De La Sarthe in mind, I thought I'd scroll through the pictures we took last fall while we were in France. I had the pleasure of driving on about 60% of the course as they're public roads.

I had my wife take a picture of the the GPS screen in our rented Renault of the route we were on:

My wife also took a pic of myself as she thought it funny that I had a smile on my face the entire time as I pointed our to different places I slide into the gravel but the one below is taken at the roundabout at the Mulsanne Corner.

I'd then thought it would be interesting to go see this exact spot as it exists in GT7 and I must say PD's scanning is pretty damn good.

The building in the background is clearly identifiable although it doesn't come in clear in the real photo. The angle and height is different as the real phone shows the grey roof building behind the brown roof building. And the way PD scanned the powerlines, the tower and the trees (tall one in the middle) is pretty impressive.

We all want more tracks in the game but stuff like this makes it understandable why they're slow to come. PD does hold itself to a pretty high standard.

My entry to this weeks Car-Show. I took my vehicles to Le Mans for this pic. Not sure you guys were keeping an eye on this race but I kept tabs on it and the last couple hours were pretty cool.

The cars are exciting. I feel like for the last few week's I've been setting up my absence only to show up at race time but I feel I might mean it for tonight. Short on sleep and likely be laying on the couch watching the World Cup tonight.

My status - Doubtful
P.S. - Don't vote out the NSX

I just got back from my vacation in the maritimes. Unfortunately I’ll skip tonight’s racing but will be back for sure next week.
You guys have fun !

In the meantime, I wanted to share some photos of my last road trip with the Mustang as it is already on sale. After 5 years, 50 000 km from Nova Scotia all the way to Nevada, I’ve had good times but its time to move on.

@DRD_Niagara cool photos at La Sarthe, must have been great to just set foot there since the track have been part of GT sincr GT4.

Division 1
  1. Nic-KL ------------ voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize A
  2. Ridger23 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  3. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize C
  4. Oshawa-Joe -------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  5. Kgffty ------------ voted to eliminate Round 2
  6. Dragonwhisky ------ voted to eliminate Round 3
  7. HURB_OSS_117_ ----- voted to eliminate Round 3
  8. halfway_inn1 ------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  9. Portogoose -------- voted to eliminate Round 3
Division 2

  1. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 3
  2. Tex_Hill ---------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize B
  3. radliffpower ------ did not submit a vote
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 (SS) at Nurburgring Grand Prix Track - C04 Sunset (7 laps)
Therefore, the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. @Nicktune wins Prize A, and gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Honda NSX '17 (SS) at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta - S02 Evening (11 laps)
This means either the car or track will be replaced for next week's line-up. @TexHill is the Prize B winner and they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @JamCar0ne - they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it's confirmed you don't have any penalties.
  • It is recommended you visit SNAIL combo history, along with other data on our car and track history, to review how many times we've raced each car and/or track.
  • Please remember, originality is always appreciated. Although not required, picking cars and tracks we've never raced is a plus.
  • What's more important is, you thoroughly test any combo you are considering, before making it your official selection.
    • For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter, either hard1 or soft2, at any point during a race, even in the draft.

IMPORTANT:
  • When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting.
    • For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post ""Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98"".
    • If you want to select Monza for your track, post ""Autodromo Nazionale Monza"".
    • Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers.
  • Please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select.
  • For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g.: S01 Afternoon) or it will be set to default.
    • Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines
.

1Hitting the ""hard"" limit causes the RPMs to ""bounce"" and reduces torque and speed.
2Hitting the ""soft"" limit ceases all acceleration potential. Meaning, you're not going to go any faster.

On another note; while it might annoy him or others to say this, frankly, I feel it needs to be said.

@zer05ive, while he hasn't raced in the league he founded in more than three times longer than he did actively race, still manages to get the results posted, and in this case, while on vacation, out of country. and a big thank you.

Tuesday TT races is on tonight! Lobby opens at 7:45pm East, qualifying at 8:00pm. More details here

For now, I juggle with the idea of a 5min qualifying and 25min race for the first round at Le Mans… because it’s not necessary to do more than 1 qually lap and, Le Mans deserve to be race at night (so a 24h cycle in 25min)!! I’ll decide with the people in the room later.
