I think it helps to start with a track and know the types of cars that excel there OR have a car you know in and out and know what types of tracks it excels at.

This is true, mostly because there are far fewer tracks than there are cars!
 
Public Service Announcement

The RUF RGT requires lots of practice. It handles unlike any other car due to it's RR nature. It can be controlled but you need to be on it the whole time. Be sure to get lots of practice before Sunday or the rate of attrition will get you.

I like running in a group and not a lot of people are on. I know the track and car well, I just wanna race now lol. Gotta get dinner ready.
