The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Honda Civic Type R (FL5) '22 (SH) at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca - S02 Afternoon (9 laps)
Therefore, the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. @ErickGaToRR wins Prize A, and gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02 (SH) at Deep Forest Raceway - S13 Evening (9 laps)
This means either the car or track will be replaced for next week's line-up. @racingchamp30 is the Prize B winner and they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Nicktune - they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it's confirmed you don't have any penalties.
  • It is recommended you visit SNAIL combo history, along with other data on our car and track history, to review how many times we've raced each car and/or track.
  • Please remember, originality is always appreciated. Although not required, picking cars and tracks we've never raced is a plus.
  • What's more important is, you thoroughly test any combo you are considering, before making it your official selection.
    • For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter, either hard1 or soft2, at any point during a race, even in the draft.

IMPORTANT:
  • When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting.
    • For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98".
    • If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza".
    • Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers.
  • Please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select.
  • For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g.: S01 Afternoon) or it will be set to default.
    • Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines
.

1Hitting the "hard" limit causes the RPMs to "bounce" and reduces torque and speed.
2Hitting the "soft" limit ceases all acceleration potential. Meaning, you're not going to go any faster.

JUNE 2025 STANDINGS - WEEK #1
1749520434993.png
19 drivers took to the grid this past Sunday. D2 enjoyed a double-digit grid while we were 1 shy of that in D1.

A few pictures for your viewing enjoyment.

Combo #1:
Below is @vovik05 leading @DublDee and @DRD_Niagara in the middle of the pack early on in C1R1.

I had a little bit of a déjâ-vu following @DublDee's sharp looking orange and green livery as I swore I've seen him dress up a Mazda like this in the past. So into my archives of pictures I went and managed to dig up a similar situation I found myself in back in October of 2024.

Combo #2:
If you see me near the front of the grid, it's a safe bet we are in a race with a reverse grid setup. @Dragonwhisky was leading the pack early in C2R2 but ate too much sausage at the bottom of the hill which upset his car and caused him to spin. I also slipped up a little later. I believe @Kgffy's blue Civic crossed the finish line first in this race.

Combo #3:
My Combo #3 pic also features @DublDee in a moment he'd like to have back as he spun early in C3R2 and can only watch as @Nicktune leads @bublyman and @DRD_Niagara away. He'd get back in the saddle pretty quickly however and he and I had some pretty intense laps near of the of this race.

@Oshawa-Joe - You were missed, hope you're feeling better.
@A_Higher_Place - Nice to see you pop into our warmup lobby again. Look at all this action you're missing.

See you at the Car-Show.

This car is from the Legend Dealership. Purchase one ASAP if you don't have it yet.
I do not see this car in the Legends Dealership at this time. Somebody know something I don't?

Note: UCD and LCD cars that are under the credit cap and currently available for purchase may be chosen for use. When they are chosen for use, an eligible car from Brand Central must also be chosen to use as a back-up car in the event that the UCD or LCD car becomes unavailable for purchase prior to race day. If the LCD or UCD car should become unavailable for purchase before the time that the drivers list is updated for racing, the back-up car will be switched in and used.

Rule changes may be required at this point, over 3 years since the game was released? Who doesn't have the car? Do you have it @The_Antman_ ?
I'll be blunt, regardless of the time period since game launch and current population of SNAIL, what would you change the rule to read?

I’ve already purchased this car, I honestly assumed everyone bought it, which is my fault.
The rule, as currently written, has no consideration for who has, or has not, purchased the car. Only whether the car is available, and will be, up to a certain point in race day preparations.

3 years post release...any car under 2 million credits is available to use.

Ive only really only been playing the game since March 2024. I can never find a car to buy in the ucd or legends (under 3 million).

Did that once already. Didn't work out well then.

The problem isn't with long time GT7 and SNAIL members.

The initial layout for a first Sunday of SNAIL racing could cost up to 8,000,000 with the current car cost cap and eligible car rules. Will it be that much? Doesn't matter how unlikely it will ever be to cost that much. The point is, it can go that high. That alone is a barrier for new members participation rates and might as well be a paywall for new members who are also new to GT7. We have another wall, forced upon us by the asinine mechanic, aimed at the impatient "whales" out there in the world, limiting participation. It's there and that rule was put in place to make it a cardboard wall instead of the concrete reinforced block wall they appear to have intended it to be.

I for one have every car <= 2million from both asinine dealerships. I say that to illustrate how it's no skin off my back to make the change to allowing any car, at or under the credit cap, eligible, without availability qualification. Here's the thing though, that rule isn't about, or for, me, or you, or all the long time SNAIL and GT7 veterans.

This late in the game they could just leave every car available, all the time, and just adjust the pricing as per whatever fantasy land Hagerty pulls the numbers from. Should have been that way from release. There may still be some of those impatient, dare I say, lazy, whales out there to grab some cash from.

Be that as it may, the eligible UCD and LCD exclusive cars amount to less than 25% of all 474 eligible cars in the roster.
