Not certain everyone has noticed, @JamCar0ne has taken up the tasks as SNAIL's Combo Lineup Coordinator. As such, any Prize Winners should :@: JamcarOne when making their prize selection so he's alerted and can navigate to your Prize selection with relative ease, then update the combos as necessary and get them "published".

Thanks to JamCar for picking up that ball and running with it! :cheers:

OK, I was hearing a lot about nostalgia and old times in Snail on the D1 chat this past Sunday so we are digging way back into the archives for this one……From what I can tell this combo has only ever been raced once and it just happens to be the first recorded combo ever raced in Snail so unless you’re an original member since day one this will be a combo you have never raced in Snail!

That’s right, we’re taking the Toyota Supra 3.0 GT Turbo A ’88 to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, formally know as Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca like it was when this combo was raced for the first and only time on December 18th 2011. The time of day for the 2011 race wasn’t available so I elected to go with C01 Twilight. Mid Division times around 1:44. (Backup car Amuse S2000GT1 Turbo on Sports Soft I think????)

So, who was there for the 2011 race???

Awesome combo for both the main and backup car!

Hey everyone, I just noticed that the Supra is showing “limited stock” which is a real shame since this combo is really sweet to drive.
I’m not sure what the rules are anymore with these used car selections, but does everyone have the Supra? I had two and one was a prize car so I’m really hoping everyone has it, and we all get a chance to try one of Snails original combos.
@Dragonwhisky please tell me there’s still a chance Lol?

Since that car is listed here as a Menu car, I think it's eligible to run regardless of it's state in a dealership. As long as it hasn't been modified...

Menu Book 32 – Supra
  • Circuit de Sainte-Croix, Race of Turbo Sportscars – Toyota GR Supra RZ ’20
  • Interlagos, Race of Turbo Sportscars – Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A ’88
  • Suzuka, Race of Turbo Sportscars – Toyota Supra RZ ’97

@JLBowler or @Akzl298 Please correct me if this is not true.

I love me a Car-Show so I'll kick it off this week.

I took my cars to the Chinatown neighborhood of Los Angeles which according to my research if located from 2 miles from Dodgers Stadium, where our Blue Jays will be spending a large portion of this upcoming week.

@DublDee - Very much enjoyed the thought process of your Prize pick. Hoping the Supra makes the cut because I took the time to dress mine up.

Edit: I don't race Snail in VR, but I do have one. The interior of this Supra in VR is so nostalgic and brings back memories of what cars looked like when I was a kid.

See you Sunday.

BLUF - The Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88, as chosen by @DublDee , retains its slot for this Sunday's racing. Also, it will remain there until SNAIL votes/chooses to remove it from the combo rotation.

The SNAIL BoD has decided to clarify this clause;

Any vehicle that is awarded in the regular menu books (require racing to win the prize) within the game as the only prize car available (this does not include cars from extra menu books as they are for collecting cars).
by publishing this list of cars, identified in this article on GTPlanet, as being exempt from this clause;
Note: UCD and LCD cars that are under the credit cap and currently available for purchase may be chosen for use. When they are chosen for use, an eligible car from Brand Central must also be chosen to use as a back-up car in the event that the UCD or LCD car becomes unavailable for purchase prior to race day. If the LCD or UCD car should become unavailable for purchase before the time that the drivers list is updated for racing, the back-up car will be switched in and used.
As noted in this list, the following cars are exempt from LCD/UCD requirements and restrictions for use;

  • Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak '87 - Menu Book 37 - Fishermans Ranch, World Rally Challenge
  • BMW M3 Sport Evolution '89 - Menu Book 22 - Red Bull Ring, European FR Challenge 550

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the usefulness of this list? I cannot recall the last time I needed to look up a car that is ### horsepower. What am I missing?
That list shows only currently allowed cars, as defined in this sheet, in the SNAIL Combo History file.
The current tire regulation for road cars is keyed on the horsepower value of each car and that list is sorted by that value. The sort can be changed if desired.
That post allows folks to have a gander at the cars allowed for SNAIL Sunday racing without leaving GTPlanet to do it.

Edit; just discovered, you can use the browser CTRL+F shortcut to search car names (partial works) and the browser should jump straight to that car. At least it worked that way in Firefox.
The google sheet display functionality wasn't always a feature at GTPlanet. Not sure when @Jordan got it added/working. Once I found out it did, I saw no reason to not have some of these google sheets displayed and navigable, if not editable, right here at GTPlanet.
