The new car for the Yas Marina Circuit is:
Super Formula
SF19 Super Formula / Toyota '19
Racing Hard tires
MDLT of 1:39

It was a toss up between the SF19 and the SF23. The '23 seemed to have a wee bit more grip mid corner, but the '19 just sounds better. @Dragonwhisky will be pleased to know the RCR topped out on the back straight

This car has an 'overtake' functionality, so the lobby will need to be set for Nitrous Required to all the car to enter.

This gives us all an opportunity to live out the final scenes of the movie “F1”, which I just watched finally. Good movie, and after today’s practice laps I’m sure it’ll be a good race.

I've tried setting Nitrous required for R3 but can't seem to get the "overtake" to show up on HUD or work in a lobby. Works ok in an offline race. What settings need to be changed?

See if the overtake button works with BoP disabled. I don't recall, when I was testing this, if it worked in online lobbies or not.

My turn for the Car Show. For my first edition of 2026, I went to Utah because it was admitted to the Union as the 45th State in January 4th, 1896.

I wish GT7 had a Scape that contained a picture of the Pantheon in Paris as many great men/women are entombed there. Including Louis Braille (born January 4th, 1809) who is the inventor of "Braille", the reading and writing system for the visually impaired.

@ErickGaToRR - Name the car and the time for your group photo. Hopefully it's one that some of us Snails would have dressed up recently? I'd like to participate if possible.

Ive tried bop on, off, boost weak, boost strong...all variations I tried didn't work. Im perfectly fine with it this way regardless as it removes a variable.
Have you tried it during a race or just in practice? It may not be enabled until you’re in a race. I forgot to even try pushing overtake when I was practicing the other day.

I was thinking, can we all get a group photo of everyone in Division 1 & 2 in their favorite cars?
Love it! Great idea. I’ve usually got my PSP on me so as long as I have decent enough service I should be able to get in on this.

Hmmm we could just fire up a lobby with no restrictions & then have everyone join that’s available & do a one lap race, & just park our favorite cars in a row. 🤔

@DRD_Niagara We can do it on my Birthday stream which is Dec 31st. The only difficulty would be dealing with randos..

You can keep randoms out by setting the lobby as private and passing out the lobby ID# to the folks who you want to allow in.

So, it’s been awhile since I contributed to the Car Show, but @DRD_Niagara’s post gave me motivation.

On January 4th, 1643 Isaac Newton was born. He became Sir Isaac Newton in 1705. I brought my cars to Newton’s alma mater, Cambridge University, specifically in front of King’s College Chapel, which I’m sure he attended as he was deeply religious, believing the universe was a divine machine built by God. You may remember him for some of his greatest hits. Golden oldies such as; Laws of Motion, Universal Gravitation, Calculus, Optics (he demonstrated that white light is a mixture of colours), Reflecting telescope. And who can forget his obsession with alchemy? He wrote more about alchemy than physics. In Albert Einstein’s words: “Newton was the greatest genius that ever lived.”

@JamCar0ne @Dragonwhisky I have a question about the SF19. Just to be clear: people in the lobby must have the Toyota and not the Honda. Even though I can't see a difference in the stats, or hear or feel a difference on the track. Not an issue for me, but I can see being in a lobby where someone has the Honda. Do we ask them to leave? Buy the other one? Just asking in case someone misses the subtle difference in the name.

And leave it to me to not notice the Toyota brand. Have the Honda but not the Yota.
Likely won’t be making the last combo anyway, but if I did happen to, would the Honda version be accepted?

We could, as a group, make this a non-issue. Stop "gaming" the system and get the car as the prize winner picked it. If you ain't got the GTbucks to do so, spend 1 hour at that Tokyo grind race and you will.
That's my personal take on this.

The SF-19 / TOYOTA is the proper car. The other one is made by a different manufacturer and therefore may not be the same.
