Probably the best video about the Isle of Man I have seen is a movie called V4 Victory. It follows Joey Dunlop and other riders at the Isle.

Here is a clip from the movie where they mount a camera to Joey's tank and he gives commentary on the lap in his heavy Irish tongue. It's truly ridiculous how he trivializes the danger...he even says sometimes he scrapes his helmet on the walls...in a tone we would use for saying we took a piss today.

Brave taken several steps beyond the norm. Still brave, for some. Terrifying. Other things as well.

I have a technical question about accidents.

I was going to try to pass someone, and they moved over either to block me or take a different line, but my front end was already past there bumper, so as they pulled over they hit my front bumper with their rear and spun out. I pulled over and waited for them, did I need to? I did not technically cause it, but I know the lead car has the right of way. What do you say?
 
Yes the lead car has the right o way. If the car has already chosen its line and u went for the pass with the right speed and they decide to change lanes why'll you are passing and they try cuting u off and they spin out then they are in the wrong. If I'm not mistaken

The best way is to submit an Incident Report for accidents like this - spin out / concession - a question if you or the other driver were in the wrong. There are variables both ways that can affect the culpability of either driver.

Personally, I would rather give a concession if I was not certain if I owed it, but that is just me. I think of this as a social gathering :cheers: where we also keep score, so in my seat, I try to keep a friendly, respectful atmosphere in the lobby while trying to do my best. 👍 I may not get the most competitive score, but it isn't affecting my real life paycheck :lol:.

On Sunday, I hope the room was OK as my driving :crazy: :eek: :ouch: :dunce:... Was not fast, consistent, nor a good mood setter for me.

All 4 settings (TSOX) get rid of the dead zone. I've used the O (670) setting exclusively since being able to set it. When I did the last Senna TT I did change it to the S setting and was able to shave a couple more tenths off my previous best to get that thing golded.


Almost all of the records SNAIL keeps for drivers is keyed off their PSN names. We probably ought to remove that GT6 name field from the TT form.

Was that our incident at Silverstone? I definitely wasn't blocking, and I need to check the replay to see if I was in the line I wanted to be in. In any case, no ill will here as I took it as hard racing on the final turn on the the last lap, and the on track concession was very much appreciated.

How do you go about changing settings on G27

This is for a default setting button configuration, as far as I know. Make sure your car is on track and you are not in a menu:

Just above your shifter should be 4 red buttons horizontally. You will have to push the two middle buttons at the same time and then quickly press the triangle, circle, x, or square button right after. If you do this quickly enough, the start menu will not even come up or change your car's camera. Even if the menu comes up or your camera changes, as long as you didn't leave too much delay before hitting one of the shape buttons, you will be OK. I typically do it two or three times in a row to make sure it takes.

Each shape button has a different degree setting associated. X is standard 900, which I use, but it still calibrates more accurately and removes a lot of dead zone. Circle is 670 degrees I believe. Triangle is 270, or even tighter. Square is 440, or inbetween the other two.

Once you do this, it will keep the setting until you change it yourself or you exit the game. You will need to do it each time you start the game up again, but not before every race. Hope that helps.
