yeah they run 90-05 Miatas but depending on the year how much the car has to weigh.
(90-93) - 2300 lbs (1043.26 kg)
(94-97) - 2350 lbs (1065.94 kg)
(99-00) - 2400 lbs (1088.62 kg)
(01-05) - 2400 lbs (1088.62 kg)

D6

mostly of me (red & green) & @singlepaddy (orange)
(since we saw a lot of each other in this first race)

That's the path the skid will take I see it all the time watching replays!

Which miata or pp, hp limit I like the idea of a variety even if they are the same model

do you know the pp limits I know that there are different hps for them and the audi's are dominant! But I do like it but I think I would uptune to the audi's instead of detuning down to the slower ones

PP leveling on mild tuning sounds like an idea although all cars are different and Audi could be better here, BMW better there and the GT-R better elsewhere and it's the pilot's job to know the potential of the car he drives and play accordingly.
Would also be cool to limit the number of particular brands to encourage several different cars in the field.
This is what it looks like the options we have:

- Chevrolet Camaro ST touring car '10 - 599 pp
- Chevrolet Camaro LMS Race Car - 604 pp
- Chevrolet Corvette C5-R '00 - 607pp
- SRT Dodge Viper GTS-R (Team Oreca) '00 - 608 pp
- Lexus IS-F Touring Car '07 - 596pp
- Nissan GT-R GT300 Stealth Model - 599 pp
- Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport '13 - 609pp
- Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 Team RJN '13 - 609pp
- Audi R8 LMS Ultra Team Phoenix '12 - 599 pp
- Audi R8 LMS Team Playstation '09 - 596pp
- BMW Z4 GT3 '11 - 596pp
- Mercedes SLS GT3 '11 - 650pp
- Citroën GT - 608pp

K so I have been playing with these Miata's (the fastest miata vs the slowest miata) and they seem comparable to me at around 168hp and 389pp the fastest one is stock with RH tires vs the slowest one tuned up to 389 pp with out any detuneing.

Ok we would need to test a bunch of them to see where they stand comparatively to each other and god yes I love the idea of limiting cars aloud per model/make. But either you would need to limit your car selection to say 8 cars so there are at least 2 models per car so on and so forth.
Isn't there a miata thing going on already?
Yes but it is with boost on this would not be

How about Tuned Miata Touring Cars?
Limited to 195hp and 795kg

what you could do is have multiple classes running. When we have a spec miata race we also have a spec e30 bmw class running at the same time. we could do it that way set it to no tuning and allow only two cars and people have to draw to find out what car they will have.
No I like tuning I'm testing right now to see what works best if only I could get some drafting going on!

lol even better it's before there actually made! In the replay anyways
Note when watching replays.. when you watch a replay beginning to end the track, cones, skids and markers are all fresh. Anytime you rewind a replay any skid mark or obstacle movement that has happened before the rewind will remain. The only way to refresh things is to exit the replay and watch it again

Rule wise (work in progress)

  • If more then 3 people are involved in a crash together caution flag will be called and racing resumed after people involved catch the tail end of the pack leader calls green where appropriate (if no caution flag thrown races stopped at 30 minute mark or with appropriate time to get wode down and into pit road)
  • damage on heavy

grid will be based on slowest first or reverse grid so that the fastest have to work through the pack! (mainly for the snailiens)

Any other suggestions would be appreciated

This is true. I had some fun the other night and wrote my name by melting tires in my STi at the big open paved area on Suzuka 2014. When I went to fast forward to after they had been written, nothing showed up. I had to rewind the replay, let the car lay the skid marks down, then they stayed.

Ya think...?

BTW trying to handicap cars is a thankless task that requires hours and hours of testing. We happen to use Miatas but will eventually try some other low powered cars that promote easy control for wheel to wheel racing. Come join us, it may help in your endeavors.

....our races are Very intense and last for 20 minutes...and due to the nature of the current algorythims that control boost you end up racing....Racing! With a capital R ...door to door for the whole 20 minutes.

Another way to achieve true parity is to set a no faster time for a lap and a price limit for cars like the WRS does.

Need photographic evidence.

if there is a caution should just start at the last turn of track. Probably be the best way to do that everyone will now the restart or just go to the finish line and the leader starts the race again
It would have to be after pit road so that the ones in the wreck can get repaired and catch back up because I want as little time under caution as possible. (Kind of how the Saturday endro series does it) I will no more by say tomorrow night when I get every thing ironed out.

Meet Bob. He's going to be a better driver than you someday, and he's been taken to everyone's "favorite" "racetrack":
http://www.autoblog.com/2015/01/27/translogic-169-autonomous-audi-rs7-racecar/

Includes cool insight into how the systems work...

First observation that applies to SNAIL. Notice where the cones were placed at Ascari in the chicanes. Right at the edge of the pavement so as to prevent you from driving on the grass.

A real life observation. If they made a racing series with these things, there would finally be a series that is more dependent on the car than F1.

Correct me if I'm wrong Coach, but based on the driver selection process you listed, wouldn't @Hellbringer69 be alt1 with 247.1 points?

EDIT:

Wait, is it based on the points for who would be the highest non automatic driver from each division, then followed by the second non automatic driver?

I'd love to see a 'Robot Wars' send up with colleges or individuals building and racing at this level someday. Not just the DARPA or Xprize stuff, something more exciting with race speeds!

If any need to fill the grid on the next ROC, just let me know.

There's 9 alternates already lined up, and if it goes that far, I'm sure Coach will revisit the season standings to find the 10th, 11th, etc. Time to get more points!
