Well let me clarify what I ment. At least one combo should be of the race car category premium or standard one combo can be of the high performance car/sports cars and one can be something slow. But seeing that there is no true guidelines or regulations to picking combos this will never happen. I also don't think the kart is childish it's one of the best combos picked.

There are guidelines to follow for combo selection, that just isn't one.

You must race a lot of karts then, because that's a pretty childish attitude. Why exactly does someone need to be $&!#/slapped for expressing their opinion? You think you're better than him?

You complain about the game, but take it out on people here. Cool guy.
You certainly aren't very cool, Desertpenguin calls me immature and whining, but that's ok in your little mind. Did I call anyone any kind of name, NO. You need to pay attention before you open up your pie hole. I express my opinion about combos, and some of you want to disrespect me, then you need a slap too.

And what heck is so wrong with me agreeing with Connor, "kids have to start out somewhere" OMG

As far as my racing, in my younger days. I loved my 1971 240Z, put a 260 in it with Webber carbs, dropped racing suspension and a all fiberglass front clip. Took it to as many SCCA events I could get to in the state of Florida. Wasn't anything like my Trans Am, but the Zcar would give fits to some Mustang boys.

Important Announcement Regarding Lobby Set-Up for Karts
The car selection method will be different for the races involving karts and only for the races involving karts.

The car selection will be set to "one-make" and that one make will be the Racing Kart 125 shifter.

This will mean that every driver will be provided a car to use and they will not be using the kart from their garage. Settings can not be changed on cars that are provided by the game. The host will not be able to change anything in the "filter by performance" settings. Active Steering, Active Stability Management, and ABS are locked to available so they will have to stay that way. All other aids should be set to prohibited as usual.

If anyone has any questions about how to set up the room properly, ask them before Sunday night. Failure to set the room up properly for these two races will result in the entire division having those results removed from the record.

The "Spec"est of all! Cool Beans.

Ok, time to walk past cranky Troll bait. Nothing gonna get solved or agreed upon. :boggled:

Beautiful day, and it is finally Friday! Hoping to buy my son's car Saturday and on Sunday I will help run the Autocross School in Annapolis, MD for the local PCA group. Sounds like a good weekend for car stuff. 👍

Great PIX!!! you have good eye.

@Falango or anyone else interested... why is it that the Merc looks so cartoonist? Big contrast with the Vette and Ferrari.

I think it's in the headlight modeling and the front grill. The headlights are textured very bright, there's no dark spots in them, and they look very flat with no shape to the inside of them. The grill doesn't quite look right either.

This is great! But could you next time put some of the pictures in "spoiler" that way it doesn't take ages of scrolling down... And the ones most interested can open them if they want.

It is just a bit annoying, but nothing to fight for, it's just a suggestion. (Better clarify, because lately the thread seems so sensitive).

I found that out hosting the practice room last night. Tried to do it through garage settings and we couldn't get onto the track with our karts from the garage so had to switch to one make for the shifter karts.

When filtering the room to allow for karts, the game would not allow for the "tuning prohibited" option to be applied to the room.
As my comment yesterday asked are there snails who would actually willing to cheat to win a race? I like my colours and if you buy a kart and paint it the frame rails stay the bought colour I love my purple pink Kart with blue frame rails!

First I want to clarify you position here and then I will answer your question with another question. I'm not trying to start a debate here, I'm just trying to tactfully approach an issue that does exist in SNAIL.

You believe that adjusting something on the car in SNAIL is cheating even if the game doesn't allow that adjustment to be locked. If I'm wrong there, let me know.

Now for the question. How many drivers do you think already adjust something on the car every week that the game won't allow to be locked?

*cough* Brake balance *cough cough*

Yes the standard karts top out. I buy my cars for snail brand new and throw them on track after oil change (in the case of the shifter motor rebuild) and have had no issue of it topping out I have about 2000 before red line! So how does lesson talking about the karting series where tuning was allowed have anything to do with sunday night racing? I'm a tuner and in my other league where tuning is allowed spend my time tuning and fine tuning the cars. But to bring that car into snail would never even cross my mind!

No I believe that If snail tells me not to adjust something then I won't (case in point my first ban) If I was told that adjusting the brake bias was illegal I wouldn't do it. Or upsizing the rims was illegal I wouldn't do it. But since I asked and got told to do what ever I wanted with in the parameters of the no tuning restriction it's fine, so I do! So to suggest that people would do it just because they can is insulting to the people of snail! We adjust what SNAIL allows!
*cough* Brake balance *cough cough*
Including this!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this gives any driver an advantage. To me it's more about driver preference than anything. I used to adjust the brake balance and recently I stopped and if anything I'm faster now leaving it at 5/5 and from my experience all the fastest a guys leave it at 5/5 as well. Imo changing the brake balance just helps mask a different issue a given driver may have with a given car.

The official position of SNAIL on tuning brake balance is that it's not allowed. If anyone ever told you that it was expressly allowed, they were mistaken. It is only tolerated because it can't be banned in the game or verified to issue penalties for doing so.

How can having a car that can start braking significantly later than another car on the track and still get slowed down in time for the corner not be considered an advantage? That is the kind of thing that changing the brake balance can do for a car.
